Capcom is one of the most acclaimed publishers in the industry, launching highly-rated game after highly-rated game. Its catalog of titles over the past 40 years is phenomenal, and it has quite an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:icꦏonic༒ and distinct roster of characters.
This includes villains, and Capcom has some of the most notable in gaming. Some even transcend the medium and are known in general pop culture, appearing in numerous films. These characters can be villains you love, villains you love to hate, or downright monsters you wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole.
10 Godot
The third instalment in the original 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy is a favorite among many. A lot of wild and interesting stuff occurs, but one of the main highlights is the villain Godot. He's got so many elements going for him. First, his introduction is pretty funny because he brags that he's undefeated, despite having a 0-0 record.
Then, his theme music is so cool and fits the chilled persona of the character. Godot's backstory is quite interesting, and the whole narrative gets nicely resolved at the very end. At this point in the series, many great villains like Manfred von Karma already existed. Still, Godot just demands your attention, and you can't take your eyes off him whenever he's on-screen.
9 Dr. Wily
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Evil scientist Dr. Wily is the most entertaining out of all the standard '80s video game villains. Like pro wrestling, Mega Man and crew have one notable character flaw: being easily de♈ceived. While Dr. Wily is the evident villain in the first three games, the following titles have a scapegoat.
In Mega Man 4, Dr. Cossack is the supposed villain, but it was actually Dr. Wily all along. In Mega Man 5, Proto Man seemingly goes rogue and turns to the dark side, but it was again Dr. Wily. With Mega Man 6, you'd think the titular character would have learned from the previous games, but no. The supposed villain is Mr. X, who's obviously Dr. Wily in disguise. It's played completely straight, and it's hilarious.
8 Riccardo
Haunting Ground is truly an M-rated game because kids aren't ready for its subject matter. Sure, there's violence throughout, but Haunting Ground has some seriously messed-up material, even for adults. Riccardo is one of the major villains in the title and has the most devious plan for the protagonist Fiona. It's especially disturbing, given how young Fiona is at only 18 years of age.
Not only is he seriously bad in terms of intent, but he's also deadly in gameplay. Wielding a pistol that can instantly kill Fiona, he's a real force you desperately want to evade. Later on, he turns invisible, making him even more annoying to deal with. Riccardo is one bad guy you despise with a passion, and it's majorly satisfying when he's finally killed.
7 Carlito
Luis Sera from RE4 is probably the most notable Spanish Capcom character, but Carlito from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead Rising is also well done. Carlito is behind the zombie outbreak, seeking revenge on the US for destroying 🌳Santa Cabeza. This villain archetype with a foreigner seeking revenge on the US could have easily been handled✤ poorly, but Dead Rising handles it gracefully.
Carlito has a well-told backstory, and you do feel for the people in his life who died at American hands. After his death, you realize the US are the bad guys after special forces come into the mall and do the same thing they did back in Santa Cabeza. It's definitely much more mature than the villains in the rest of the series.
6 Vergil
Polar opposites work great as antagonists because they contrast so well in the story. Vergil, the main villain in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Devil May Cry 3 and 5, is a great example. Being Dante's brother, he's also half-human but focuses more on the demon side with a determination to get as much power as possible.
Dante puts more emphasis on his human qualities, and this, along with opposite personalities, fighting styles, and even looks, makes for a great contrast. His portrayal by Daniel Southworth is amazing and perfectly sells this character who goes on a bad one-way, never returning path for power. Plus, his boss fights are great, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:complete with awesome music.
5 The Baker Family 𒊎
What's worse than one bad guy? A group of them, and the baddest in all of Capcom has to be the Baker family from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 7. All three are a thorn in your side throughout the game. Marguerite halts your progress several times and has a scary bug-like mutated form. Jack hunts 𝓡you down in the main house and comes back to life so many times it becomes absurd.
Then there's Lucas, who sets up deadly traps for Ethan and other unfortunate victims that you must escape. Killing all three is incredibly satisfying, even if Lucas had to be taken down in Chris's DLC. Some of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:best Residenℱt Evil villains in the series, no doubt.
4 Nemesis
While Nemesis was a bit bungled in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 3 remake, the original game's monster fits the name perfectly. A modified tyrant on a mission to kill every S.T.A.R.S. member, he does exactly that when he kills Brad Vickers near the start of the original.
This is a striking first encounter, and he's on your tail throughout the rest of the game. He just felt relentless and made RE3 so special. Considering RE3 wasn't originally meant to be the next mainline title and used many assets of RE2, features like th♛e Nemesis was needed to make this game stand🍎 out.
3 Gill
Gill from Street Fighter 3 is essentially the Shao Kahn of the series. The final boss with him is cheap in so many ways. He does a ridiculous amount of damage, and his projectiles will go through every other one i💮n the game; plus, his supers are jus🔯t dastardly.
Seraphic Wing will put in damage no matter what, and the evilest one, Resurrection, is unholy. If Gill dies with full super meter, he'll resurrect with full health, meaning you essentially have to defeat him twice to win one round. Couldn't it have been only 50 percent of his life? Gill is the one 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Street Fighter boss you'll hate the most out of the whole series.
2 Alber⛄t Wesker 𒆙
The best 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil villain, hands down, is Albert Wesker. Appearing in numerous RE games, films, and crossover appearances in titles like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead by Daylight, Wesker is an iconic game villain. His Top Gun Iceman look and signature shades scream egotistical bad guy, and a lot of the various voice act💞ors pull off the cꦗharacter exquisitely.
Wesker's personality and attitude, combined with the voice performances, make him a villain you can't help but love. Even in the disastrous RE films and Netflix show, Wesker remains entertaining and a consistent major highlight.
1 M. Bison
M. Bison, or Vega, as he's known in Japan, is one of the most iconic villains in the medium. A ruthless dictator with a lust for power and control, Bison has such a distinct theatrical design. He's a core villain in many Street Fighter games and has appeared in numerous movies. He shows up in the first Wreck-It Ralph film alongside other game characters like Sonic and Q*bert.
The first Street Fighter film, released in 1994, had aꦫn iconic portrayal by the ♏late Raul Julia, with standout dialogue still in the minds of the people who grew up with it. M. Bison is one of the first few video game villains many will think of, and due to that, he has to be at the top of the pile.
