These days, storytelling is a huge part of the video game industry, as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:many titles include a deep and enga🌠ging narrative. As a re𓂃sult, there is a great need for excellent voice actors to do the tales justice. One of the most famous of them is Troy Bake𓆏r.
It's difficult to play an English-language game at the moment without hearing his voice. However, not many are complaining as Baker is an amazing actor. So many characters in recent years have been enhanced because of his wonderful performances. Yet, out of all of the people he's voiced in gaming, which are the best?
Updated July 23, 2022 By Ben Jessey: Troy Baker remains one of the most accomplished and beloved voice actors in gaming. The man has lent his tones to so many characters over the years, and he doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
While his volume of work is impressive, the performances themselves stand out, too. The man has done an excellent job with so many different types of characters. As such, it's only fair that more than 13 of them are given attention. So, we've now added a few more to this list.
16 Talꦍion - Middle-Earth Series 💟
Shadow Of Mordor and Shadow Of War are among the best Middle-Earth games ever. While the protagonist, Talion, can't be given all the credit for their quality, he certainly helps. His adventure starts in the worst way possible as he and his loved ones are both killed. He gets another chance at life, though, when he gets bonded with a wraith.
Despite the hardship, the man never loses his moral compass. He constantly proves to be kind and heroic, even while sharing his body with a more morally questionable figure. Troy Baker adds to the character's appeal by giving him a cool deep voice.
15 𝓀 Snow Villiers - Final Fantasy 13 (All Three Parts)
When you first meet him in Final Fantasy 13, Snow Villiers is a bit annoying. The man is so overwhelmingly positive and naive that it's a little cheesy. However, when you start to get to know him, you learn that he isn't as oblivious to everything as he initially seems. He knows things aren't perfect, and he regrets the people he's lost. Yet, he tries to put on a brave face and be the hero that people need.
So, during that first game, it's easy to grow to like him. He does change throughout the series, though. By Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13, the inability to save the person he cared about the most has severely impacted him. He's still protective, but he's a more jaded individual. It's a sad but compelling change for the character.
14 🌳 Delsin Rowe♎ - Infamous: Second Son
Replacing an established main protagonist in a beloved series is always tricky. Delsin Rowe had to tak👍e the reigns from Cole MacGrath in the Infamous series. And he does a strong job as the main character of Infamous: Seco▨nd Son.
The guy is a graffiti artist and an all-around delinquent before he gains access to a litany of insane abilities. Whether he uses the powers for good or evil is dependent on you as the game has a morality system. But regardless of whether he's helping or hurting the world, he remains the same witty and cocky person, which makes for an entertaining protagonist.
13 ✃ Playa - The Saints Row Series
Saints Row's main protagonist is a customizable character, so you choose the voice they use. In the third and fourth games, Troy Baker is one of the vocal options.
During those titles, Playa goes from a celebrity gangster living the high life to the President of the United States. For most people, a transition like that would involve some sort of personality change. But Playa remains the confident, witty, and murderous man he's always been. And Baker's performance is convincing whether he's threatening someone or cracking a joke.
12 Bruce Banner - Marvel's Avengers
It's fair to say that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Marvel's Avengers isn't the perfect game, but it does have a ඣstrong story. Troy Baker deserves some credit for the captivating tale as his version of Bruce Banner is one ꦐof the stars of the show.
The actor does an excellent job playing a crest-fallen Banner, who is haunted by his part in a catastrophic event that destroyed San Francisco. Banner also shares a complic♕ated relationship with The Hulk that serves as a compelling subplot.
11 𓄧 Kanji Tatsum💃i - Persona 4
Kanji Tatsumi is the bad boy of Yaogami High School - one of the main settings of Persona 4. He's a typical delinquent who constantly proves how tough and mean he is. However, his overly masculine demeanor is a facade.
In reality, Tatsumi is a lot more stereotypically feminine than he likes people to believe. For example, the gu♍y adores activities like knitting and sewing. Yet, he hides his real interests and personality to avoid ridicule. Through his performance, Baker expertly shows that Kanji Tatsumi is a boy plagued with insecurity.
10 💝 Ocelot - Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain
Throughout the Metal Gear Solid series, multiple actors have voiced the famed Ocelot. Most recently, Baker lent his tones to the character for MGS5: Phantom Pain. The actor's version of Ocelot isn't too different from the others, as the Revolver expert is charming, cunning, and secretive.
Usually, the character proves to be one of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the evilest villains in the series. However, in Phantom Pain, he's fighting on the side of relative good — and he sticks by Venom Snake during the protagonist's war with Skull Face.
9 Vincওent Brooks - 🌌Catherine
Catherine is not a typical game, so it's no surprise that it includes a unique protagonist. Vincent Brooks isn't the strong and heroic figure most games are built around. He's an easy-going and carefree guy who's attached to his bachelor life.
During the game, he's in the middle of a love triangle involving his girlfriend Katherine and the salacious Catherine. Although, his relationship with the titular character is more complicated than it initially seems. Throughout it all, Vince is a fun and sometimes relatable character.
8 Arkham Knight - Batman: Arkham Knight 🅺
A late-game twist hurt the overall appeal of the titular antagonist in Batman: The Arkham Knight — and yet, before his real identity is revealed, he's one of the most compelling villains in Batman history, which is saying something.
What makes him so intriguing is how he regularly gets the upper hand on The Dark Knight. It's not the first time Batman has lost battles, but it's the way he loses them; The Arkham Knight knows all of the hero's tricks and weaknesses. Plus, Troy Baker's vocal talents help make the antagonist an intimidating presence before he even swings a punch.
7 ♎ Booker DeWitt - Bioshock: Infinite ꦛ
While much of Bioshock Infinite's praise is directed at Elizabeth, the playable character, Booker DeWitt, is also excellent. In fact, he's responsible for some of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the best lines in Bioshock history, all delivered by Troy Baker.
During the game, the private investigator travels to the Columbia in the sky to save Elizabeth. However, the adventure turns out to be less straightforward than a typical rescue mission, as the evil Comstock puts a lot of obstacles in their way. Plus, Booker and Elizabeth's connection to the villain makes things more complicated.
