The Dragon-🔥type is particularly familiar with competitive viability, with many of its strongest Pokemon being important and valuable in the current meta. Still, even for this powerful t✨ype, some are stronger than others, and this list aims to narrow down the best of the best for building out your competitive Singles team.

15 Dragalge
Dragalge's movepool and statistical makeup have the makings of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a good mid-tier pivot. It has a great 123 Special Defense and good enough 90 Defense, as well as access to Flip Turn, an excellent pivoting move, an🧔d Toxic Spikes, a unique entry hazard.
It's far from the fastest Pokemon out there at 44 Speed, but it can keep itself on the field against special attackers, and hit back with 97 Special Attack and moves like Draco Meteor and Sludge Bomb. Its time on the field is finite, though, not having access to any good recovery moves.
14 Regidrago
One of the two Legendary Titans 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:introduced in The Crown Tundra, Regidrago's distinct feature statistically is its massive 200 HP. While that doesn't make it great defensively when complemented by merely 50 in both defensive stats, it's still a solid provider of Dragon-type offense.
Any STAB move's power is multiplied by 1.5 thanks to its Dragon's Maw ability and could be further boosted via Dragon Dance. Unfortunately, while it gets the whole gamut of Dragon-type attacks, it doesn't get as much coverage as you'd want, limiting its offensive potential quite a bit.
13 Flygon
A predecessor of sorts to Garchomp, Flygon can still utilize 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:its Ground/Dragon-typing on offense and defense. A s🌸olid 100 in both Attack and Speed allow it to be a g🗹ood attacker, while decent bulk and its Levitate ability make it surprisingly hard to deal with defensively.
It's got a wide movepool, not only having access to great STAB moves, but good coverage moves such as Stone Edge and Dual Wingbeat. It can even play the support role, with moves like Toxic, Defog, Roost, and U-Turn. Beware of Fairy-types, Ice-types, and Pokemon that can wall its moves.
12 Noivern
Noivern is the second-fastest Pokemon on this list at a blazing 123 Speed. That allows it to play its preferred ꦡutility role to the best of its abilities, with moves like U-Turn, Roost, Defog, Taunt, and To🍸xic in its arsenal.
It can also provide solid offense in a pinch, with 97 Special Attack and a wide pool of both STAB and coverage attacking moves. It's particularly good against teams that rely on Substitute and screens like Reflect, Light Screen, and Aurora Veil, thanks to its Infiltrator ability that ignores such obstructions.
11 Haxorus
No other Dragon-type is a more straightforward offensive grenade than Haxorus, having a 147 Attack. It's only slightly above average in the Speed department, though, so it's best at breaking down slow, defensive walls.
Despite the high Attack stat, it could still use some help when up against highly defensive Pokemon, so set-up moves like Swords Dance and Dragon Dance are perfect for it. In terms of moves, it has the whole spectrum of physical Dragon-type moves as well as a nice s♏election of coverage options like Earthquake, Close Combat, First Impression, and🌠 Poison Jab.
10 10% Zygarde ꦐ
Zygarde in its only legal competitive form obviously isn't comparable to its other two formes. It's stuck with Aura Break, an essentially useless ability, and its stats are quite inferior at only a 486 base stat total.
Fortunately, it's the fastest of all the formes at 115 Speed, which technically makes it a faster Dragon/Ground-type than Garchomp. That gives it tons of value in its tier as a potential sweeper, especially since it still has access to its incredibly useful Thousand Arrows signature move. It's as frail as frail can be, though, so avoid taking any hits.
9 Kommo-o
Given a turn to set up and an opposing team withꦓout any checks, Kommo-o is ꧃arguably the best set-up sweeper out there.
It has access to both Dragon Dance and a signature set-up move, Clangorous Soul. It has a wide movepool from several types that allows it to deal either physical or special offense. It also has the bulk to take a few hits, as well as a few support🧸 moves like Stealth Rock and Taunt under its belt. Make sure to avoid Fairy-types, though; the Dragon/Fighting-type is particularly weak to🧸 it.
8 Salamence
On paper, Generation III's pseudo is one of the strongest Dragon-types out there, having high attacking stats and good bulk to take a few non-Ice-type hits.
Salamence is commonly seen used as a set-up sweeper with Dragon Dance, though it's more than capable of running with special moves, especially with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Flying-type's lack of high power physical attacks. Either way, its attacking prowess is supplemented by nice support moves in Defog and Roost, as well as either the Intimidate or Moxie ability depending on what you▨ would prefer for your team.
7 Dracozolt
Sand teams aren't common in higher tiers, but should you go that route, Dracozolt is an unexpectedly good sand sweeper. That's thanks to Sand Rush, an ability that doubles its otherwise middling Speed and gets it to beat faster Pokemon to the punch.
That's especially great with its signature move, Bolt Beak, a move that doubles its power when it goes first. Pair that with your Dragon-type move of choice, tack on a Fire-type move for coverage, and you're good to go. Just don't bring it out against Ground-types or potential priority sweepers.
6 ♍ Latias & Latios
These forever-intertwined Legendaries have been on the cusp of Smogon's OverUsed tier for two consecutive generations now. They aren't exactly the same, but they both play the wallbreaker role competitively thanks to having similar stat spreads.
Purely from a stats perspective, Latias is better defensively and Latios is better offensively. It's their respective methods of offense, though, that really makes one distinct over the other. Whereas Latios is a more straightforward wallbreaker, Latias needs a bit of setting up to do its job, though that does allow the latter to rely on Stored Power as an unorthodox attacking move.
