The newest type in Pokemon has taken no prisoners in the competitive scene, thanks to its mostly favorable type matchups and straight-up immunity against the type once unanimously hailed as the strongest, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Dragon-type. It helps just having a lot of stron🍸g Pokemon, too.

Multiple Fairy-ty💛pes have become competitive staples in different ways. There are a lot of Fairy-type support players, but some of them are known to be powerful attackers as well. No matter how they pay the bills💧, these fifteen Pokemon are the cream of the crop among the Fairy-types.

Note: This will not include Pokemon currently banned to Ubers.

15 Klefki

Pokemon Fairy Worst Klefki

Say what you will about its design, but this Steel/Fairy-type's biology as a key ring is quite apt for its competitive role as a multifaceted support player. It's Prankster ability almost guarantees it the first move when it's doing its job.

Klefki utilizes Spikes as an entry hazard, which has its pros and cons when compared to Stealth Rock. It has access to both Toxic and Thunder Wave, two status effect moves to be used wherever appropriate. It's merely OK on offense, though; it's best teamed up with other Pokemon that can carry the load offensively.

14 Togekiss

On paper, Togekiss is a run-of-the-mill spec♒ial wallbreaker, but having Serene Grace as an ability puts it over the top. As most Seꦗrene Grace Pokemon go, its M.O. is to flinch its opponents, and it deploys that strategy with Air Slash.

It's at its best facing slower walls, with the help of Nasty Plot for setting up. It can play a bit of a cleric role, too, having access to Heal Bell and Wish. Unfortunately, despite its good bulk, it actually has 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a lot of weaknesses for a Fairy-type, so watch out for its many potential counters.

13 𝐆 Galarian Weezing ♌

 Galarian Weezing

Not much is different between Kantonian Weezing and Galarian Weezing, but the differences the latter does have from the former ma꧋ke it significantly more viable in Singles battles. The Fairy-type gives it an extra STAB option, as well as access to moves like Strange Steam, a signature attꦏacking move that can occasionally confuse the target.

Despite the new, distinctly offensive signature move, Galarian Weezing is best used in a supporting role. It's a great Misty Terrain-setter for lower tiers, and its access to several support moves like Toxic Spikes, Defog, Will-O-Wisp, and others prove to be very useful.

12 ♓ Alolan🌟 Ninetales

The singular Pokemon that made hail teams viable, Alolan Ninetales' access to both Snow Warning and Aurora Veil makes it the quintessential hail setter. Hail isn't the first choice for most competitive players when looking at weather teams, but this regional variant's insane value for that specific niche can't be overlooked.

Its main source of offense, then, is usually the player's choice between Freeze-Dry, for super-effective damage against Water-types, and Blizzard, a perfectly accurate move now that hail is up. Of course, being an Ice-type, it's insanely frail, especially 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:against Steel-types; avoid Stealth Rocks as well.

11 Gardevoir

Gardevoir posing for battle in the Pokemon Anime

Gardevoir is ♊one of the most popular Choice-item wallbreakers in its tier, boasting 125 Special Attack and 115 Special Defense. Competitive players have opted to either boost the Special Attack even further (Choice Specs) or give the mediocre 80 Speed a little help (Choice Scarf).

Its attacking movepool is very solid, too, having access to a few good coverage moves to go alongside 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Moonblast and Psychic. It doesn't provide much utility outside that, but its attacking prowess gives it more than enough value. Be sure to avoid physical hits though; its 65 Defense will do it no favors.

10 Mimikyu

pokemon anime ghost fairy type competitive battling disguise

Probably the most unique set-up sweeper out there, Mimikyu can be dangerous to deal with if you don't know how to stop it. It can take one hit virtually scot-free thanks to its Disguise ability, giving it massive sweeping potential.

Its agenda is to take its free turn to Swords Dance, and then fire away with STAB moves Play Rough, Shadow Claw, and Shadow Sneak for faster opponents. Be sure to eliminate its potential checks before letting Mimikyu do its thing, because it's not that strong without the set-up and quite frail in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:its vulnerable Busted forme.

9 Azumarill

One of the very few Pokemon with the Huge Power ability, Azumarill manages to be an excellent physical attacker despite just a 50 Attack stat. It's best when it can execute a Belly Drum or hold a Choice Band, with Liquidation, Aqua Jet, and Play Rough as its main STAB attacks.

It also has pretty good bulk at 80 in both defenses and 100 HP, and the Water/Fairy-typing is quite good defensively. That said, it's very slow at 50 HP, so avoid Grass-types that can resist the priority Aqua Jet and hit back with super-effective damage.

8 Tapu Bulu

The Grassy Terrain-setter role has since been given to Rillaboom in Generation Eight, thanks to its access to both the ability Grassy Surge and the move Grassy Glide. Tapu Bulu only has access to the former, so it's typically in second place when looking at that particular archetype.

Still, in tiers where Rillaboom isn't used, the Guardian of Ula'ula Island is a very good wallbreaker. It's most commonly seen using Horn Leech as its main attack, with multiple options for coverage. It's usually bulky enough to take hits, though it absolutely does not like Fire-types and Poison-types.

7 Primarina

Primarina and Lana from the Anime best competitive water-types

Primarina just beats Azumarill out as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a superior Water/Fairy-type. It has innate power on the special end at 126 Special Attack, and a wide movepool to boot w✨ith moves like Ice Beam, Psychic, Shad𒁏ow Ball, and Energy Ball to go alongside its STAB moves.

Unfortunately, it's one of the slower offensive Pokemon at just 60 Speed. While it's pretty good 116 Special Defense helps it take a few special hits, it's quite frail physically at just 74 Defense. Physical Grass-types are its most commonly used checks, so watch out for that.

6 ও Grimmsnarl 💜

grimmsnarl

Grimmsnarl is Generation Eight's premier screen setter, using its Prankster ability and the Light Clay held item to set up both Reflect and Light Screen. Of all places, that niche finds itself quite often in the Uber tier, where having a Pokemon dedicated to setting dual screens proves to be very useful against Legendary-level power.

Alongside that, this Dark/Fairy-type often runs with Taunt, and either Play Rough or its signature Spirit Break as its attacking move. Still, it's at its best with teammates that can take advantage of the screens and fire away offensively.
