Resident Evil Village

Lady Alcina Dimitrescu is likely one of the most iconic female antagonists in horror games. Her character design alone easily sets her apart from other characters. Eveline's psychoactive fungus makes her a formidable foe. She uses this biohazard to control the minds of anyone of her choosing, which unfortunately turns out to be the Baker family. Eveline changes the Baker family and Mia Winters, causing them to become incredibly violent. Marguerite and Mia, along with Jack and Lucas Baker, are far more prominent in the game, but Eveline is the one who's truly pulling all the strings.

Until Dawn

Though she may not look it at the start of the game, Hannah Washington is one of the most terrifying characters on this list. In Until Dawn, Hannah runs into the woods aft🎉er falli💯ng victim to a cruel prank by her friends. Hannah’s twin Beth chases after her, but the two never return and are missing and presumed dead.

A year later, Hannah and Beth's friends return to the lodge to commemorate the lives of the twins. However, as you play the game, you'll realize Hannah is still alive, but she isn't the sweet, pretty girl she was a year ago. Now, Hannah is a wendigo, a bloodtꦉhirsty creature that hunts the liv💜ing, including her friends. Hannah is the strongest of all the wendigos in the game. It’s unclear how cognizant Hannah is in her new body, but it's no surprise she's trying to kill her friends after how they treated her.

Like some of the other characters on this list, Alma Wade is a complicated character. Though she’s the main antagonist of the ﷺF.E.A.R. games, her villainy isn’t black and white. In fact, Alma starts her story as a victim. Because of her extraordinary psychic abilities, Alma is experimented on at a young age—by her own father, no less.

Tired of the abuse she's experienced, Alma takes control of her abilities and seeks vengeance against those who harmed her. It's easy to root for her here, but eventually, Alma devolves from victim to villain. Alma becomes a true force to be reckoned with, committing unspeakable acts. Alma also takes on the stereotypical female horror antagonist with pale skin and long black hair.

Resident Evil Village

Resident Evil 7 and 8 are filled with iconic female antagonists, but Village hones in on this more than the former. Like Lady Dimitrescu, Donna Beneviento is one of Mother Miranda's four lords. With Mother Miranda's help, Donna, a doll maker, is empowered with devastating abilities like inducing hallucinations and controlling dolls.

Donna doesn't speak and chooses to communicate through her doll, Angie. She is always covered head to toe in black funeral garb, drawing more attention to Angie than herself. As one of the four lords, Ethan must face her in a boss fight. In this fight, she causes intense hallucinations, introducing one of the creepiest and weirdest Resident Evil enemies of all time: the giant baby.

Like Alma's father, Dahlia Gillespie is an abusive parent who's ultimately to blame for her daughter's actions. Dahlia is the leader of a cult called The Order that worships its own god.
