16 Days Gone

Action
Adventure

Released

Developer(s)
꧒ Bend♐ Studio

Days Gone was not the most interesting game in the world, and the subsequ🌊ent reaction of the game's writer to it's reception was...odd, to say the least. Deacon St. John might not have been the most exciting protagonist, but at least he let you confront hordes of zombies with a little bit of exuberance.

The big draw of Days Gone were the massive hordes of zombies that roam the world. Mind you, these hordes don't actually start to appear until near the end of the game, but they are genuinely massive, with each member of it a fully realized enemy. It's silly fun to blow holes in their numbers while 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:dashing around on your bike.

From humble origins as a 1♌v1 fighter, Dynasty Warriors has grown into a huge franchise with a gigantic cast of characters.

The people are real, ꦕof course. The pseudo-legendary part comes in the ♓fact that they can face down literal thousands of enemies one-on-one. But what does realism matter when entire battlefields become fodder for your sword to cleave through?

14 💎 Demon Chaos

Here's one you probably haven't heard of. The PS2 is lauded for its technological advancements, many of which haven't quite been replicated. A lot of that was in how it processed graphics, letting you do some genuinely impressive things without dragging down performanc🌄e. A tech demo turned real game, Demon Chaos is an example of the PS2's prowess.

Also known as Ikusagami i🤪n Japan, Demon Chaos ran at what was a functionalꦉly locked 60fps while simultaneously having a maximum of 65,535 enemies on screen at once. In other regards, it plays quite similar to Dynasty Warriors, though the absurdity of over 65,000 enemies all at once is a number no other game has reached yet.

Ikusagam🍌i never released in North America, with the Demon Chaos na♋me used only in its European release.

The horde mode became a craze after 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Gears of War 2. Thౠe hype died down over the years when the rest of th🅰e industry stopped chasing after that success, but Gears did not stop.

The formula of a Gears of War has changed slightly over the years. If you want to blow up, chainsaw in half, and shoot aliens, then there is nothing better than the Xbox flagship series.

12 Destiny 2

Bungie stuck to its FPS roots from Halo and took what it learned into Destiny, then expanded that recipe with🥀 multiplayer and RPGಌ elements. Between both entries in the series, people over the years have gotten to know its interesting characters, hostile creatures, and the best gear to collect.

10 🧸 Warhammer: Vermi𓆉ntide 2

Aliens, robots, and zombies have gotten stale, so why not kill rats? 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Vermintide 2 is like a fantasy Left 4𝔍 Dead, set in the Warhammer univ𒅌erse, as you kill rat-like creatures with various classes for you to select.

The combat has that visceral feeling which never feels stal🎶e when hacking away the flesh of hordes of enemies. The various classes open the door for different playstyles, and the loot gathered also lets you build up your preferred class. That extra depth gives it more meat than a typical slasher.
