While the ending of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury left us all wanting more of Suletta and Miorine, and more from the story, at the very least we can listen to re-runs while building the best model kits of 2024, all of which are builds from the show. That's right, every single one. While there were many impressive releases this year like the draconic Gundam Epyon from Gundam Wing, G-Wtich kits have stolen the show.
Bandai has gone above and beyond to represent the students of Asticassia School of Technology in some of their best kits to date. If you're looking for a new Gundam set, we're happy to help. Here are some of our favorite Gundam model kits you can find today.
Updated on August 11, 2024 by Kenny Kimberly: Gundam has kept its popularity for decades and is still going strong. We've come back to get rid of some products that were no longer available and replace them with a new suggestion. Enjoy!

The Best Gundam Model Kits

Bandai HGUC RGM-79 GM Mobile Suit Gundam Model Kit
If you're a fan of the more classic🧸 Gundam appearances, this is the best place to start. The RGM-79 Mobile Suit Gundam model kit is great for beginners due to being somewhat easier to put together.
- Relatively simple and easier to put together
- Great Gundam figure for beginners
- Figure's articulation is lackluster
For fans of the more classic appearance of some Gundams, we love this RGM-79 GM Mobile Suit Gundam model kit. This kit gives you a Gundam with a vintage appearance to appeal to the anime fan who remembers seeing these bad boys do battle. But there's more to it than a classic appearance!
Our favorite thing about this model is that it's easier to put together than many others. Because of that, this is a great choice for beginners who are looking for somewhere to start. If you're an experienced Gundam model builder, you won't need to worry about much of a challenge from this model.

Gundam Unicorn HG 1/144 Model Kit
Not as rare, but just as cool as the real thing.
The 1/144 HGUC RX-0 Unicorn (Destroy Mode) model kit offers a detailed, posable build of the iconic mecha, featuring col𓂃or-molded parts, clear pink psychoframe, and a range of weapons, perfect for Gundam enthusiasts.
- Larger size compared to other HGUC kits.
- Impressive level of detail.
- Highly articulated for dynamic posing.
- Slightly different proportions compared to MG version.
Based on the legendary mobile suit from the Gundam Unicorn series, this kit is something special. Wiไth its color-molded parts, mainly wearing white, red, and grey, painting becomes optional, opening doors for both beginners and seasoned builders. Despite its 1/144 scale, this thing manages to maintain an astonishing degree of detail.
From intricate panel lines to vents and mechanical components, it feels like the Unicorn Gundam is springing to life right in front of your eyes! And guess what? The model's articulation is nothing short of fantastic. Thanks to the freedom of movement in the joints, you can pose the model in ways that showcase the raw power and agility of the mobile suit.
On the flip side, not everything is perfect here. Some of the smaller details do need stickers, which might not be everybody's cup of tea. And the transformation between the Unicorn and Destroy modes is spectacular, but a word of caution - doing this over and over can lead to loosening joints over time.

A kit so nice you'll buy it twice, as🍸 you'll definitely want the Full Mechanics version after completing this charming kit. This flagship Gundam is at the heart of The Witch From Mercury. Model one of your favorite scenes from the anime or pose Aerial's feminine form in a battle scene using the weapons and effects part. There are several configurations to explore in this great-quality HG 1/144 kit.
- A unique and iconic kit for G-Witch fans
- The shield comes apart into GUND-BITs
- Incredible articulation and multiple configurations
- The MIRASOUL Flight Unit option kit, sold separately, is the only way to get widespread hands for this kit
- There is an HG Aerial Rebuild kit and a Full Mechanics kit, so it may be difficult to choose or quite an investment
Take a hands-on approach to Propsera Mercury's dear creation, the Gundam Aerial, with this HG 1/144 model kit. As a high-grade kit, it's accessible to new fans who simply want to build, not panel line or paint. Even at 1/144 scale, the shape and details of the Aerial are striking, so it's certain to look great, customized or not.

16😼8澳洲幸运5开奖网: Best Halloween Lego Sets In 2024
There's noꦦthing quite like building a spooky Lego set in Halloween season.
The silhouette of the Aerial always charms me. It's unique and feminine while maintaining the classic colors of Grandpa RX-78-2, just in a slightly lighter shade. And talk about articulation! With no armor to inhibit movement, you'll be able to pose the Aerial without limitations. The accessories are pretty sweet too, particularly for an HG kit. The shield breaks down into GUND-BITs that can attach as armor or be displayed on a stand, and there's even an effect part. From top to bottom, this kit feels like an elevated HG kit, appealing to fans new and old.

Peil Technologies outdid itself on this mobile suit. It hardly looks like a Gundam at all, yet possesses the power and aesthetic appeal to hold up in any dual. Just like its🅘 pilot, it stands out among the students🔯 of Asticassia School of Technology coming in as one of the best and unique G-Witch kits of the year. Its elongated form and smoky transparent pieces give it a high-end feel, especially for a HG kit. Dark, lanky, and powerful, this is an exciting build that's sure to stand out in your collection, if not for its sleek design then for its striking arsenal of weaponry.
- A unique design and color scheme from head to toe
- You can store the beam sabers within the arms of the suit
- Fans of Elan will love this high-quality kit
- The C-clips on the feet are known to be weak making it difficult to pose without a stand
Whether or not you were a fan of Elan by the end of Witch From Mercury, there's something to be said about his mobile suit, the Gundam Pharact. Without having watched G-Witch, you'd hardly recognize it as a Gundam at all. Yet, this lanky, elongated kit has found its way among the ranks of the best of the year. It's got one of the best features you can ask of an HG kit, smoky transparent shell pieces with stickers underneath, and a large, unique weapon.
As a thin and long mech, the articulation and posing of the Pharact is wonderfully smooth, able to get into and hold deep poses thanks to sturdy joints. Covered in thrusters, it's an ideal mobile suit to utilize with a stand, emulating the action poses and duels of G-Witch. It's always promising when a completed kit looks great without any paint, and the Pharact does, but some metallic touches would surely elevate this standout kit, particularly against it's grey-blue shade.

The cool aesthetics of G-Witch are further elevated thanks to this mobile suit, the Gundam Michaelis which is piloted by one of the show's main antagonists, Shaddiq Zenelli. Looking past the pilot, this is easily one of the best kits of the entire collection. It's asymmetrical, features one of the coolest weapons, and may serve a look into the future of modern Gundam design. The quality is on par with the other HG G-Witch kits which is to say you won't be 💃disappointed in this build. Lots of accessories, lots of personality, lots of Earthian-Spacian fun.
- Wonderful articulation thanks to its shape and strong joints
- Another standout color scheme that will stand out among your collection
- Unique weaponry and includes a stand for the beam bracer
- A reminder of the suit's antagonistic pilot Shaddiq - this was enough to discourage the kits sales in Japan
It's not a mech take on the Pokemon Ceruledge nor a rebuild of the Gundam Bael. It's the Gundam Michaelis, another unique mobile suit brought to us by G-Witch. Will this anime ever stop impressing us with innovative designs? Sadly yes because it concluded with season 2, but with kits like these I can hardly complain. The asymmetrical shape and purple-white color scheme were enough to sell me, but just wait until you see its beam bracer in the air. That's right; finally, an HG kit in this lineup that includes a weapon stand.
When it comes to arsenal, the Michaelis is king. Personally the beam bracer and cable steal the show for me, but there are beam sabers, a shield, and arm-mounted weaponry to employ and enjoy. This kit doesn't include any additional hand parts, so you'll have to look to the option kit for those, but because of all the extras, I didn't find myself missing them as I did with the HG Aerial. So, Shaddiq fan or not, I highly suggest this kit for its unique look and weaponry.

Considering how stunning this mobile suit is, it was given surprisingly little screen time throughout The Witch from Mercury. This is another innovative G-Witch build serving up fantastic quality and well-translated design. The Gundam Schwarzette's pink accents and thick limbs are a modern take on classic Gundam design. Complete with a halo around its head and hoof-like feet, this is a uಞnique HG kit that feels like an RG and is a must-add to your backlog.
- Multiple ball joints allow for dynamic movement in the hips and neck
- A next-gen monochromatic design with impact, perfect for posing and displaying
- Large sword-like weapon with multiple configurations for ranged or close combat
- Didn't receive enough screentime, making it a less recognizable kit to some
While both Guel and Lauda pilot incredible mobile suits, between the two brothers' rides, I have to say I prefer Lauda's Gundam Schwarzette. If that massive sword with multiple configurations doesn't initially sell you, let me explain some of the finer details of this striking monochromic kit. To start, builders agree this HG kit feels like an RG with multiple ball joints and incredible articulation that G-Witch kits are known for and unique shapes and colors that allow this kit to stand out in your collection.

The Schwarzette's weapon has multiple functions whether you require hand-to-hand combat or taking down a far-off enemy and there are more options yet. It can be held like a beam cannon and separated into bit staves, giving you dozens of posing options. When you're not using one of the weapons many iterations to fight, it can attach nicely to the back skirt armor. With a pink, black, and white color scheme, great quality, and versatile weapon, there isn't much more you can ask for from this incredible HG kit. Prefer Guel to Lauda? Be sure to check his sibling suit, the Dilanza which also has an HG kit in the G-Witch collection.

It's cute, powerful, and has the undeniable touch of Prospera Mercury upon it. The Gundam LFRITH is as big on defenses as it is on attack, ready to join your arsenal of G-Witch kits. Let's face it, your collection needed more pink, especially for those who love pink and have been craving more kawaii kits. Pink lover or not, you're better 🔯off not running from the LFRITH. After all, as Suletta always quotes, "If you run you gain one, if you move forward you gain two."
- A hot pink and white color scheme with BUNNY EARS
- Striking metallic shell unit in chest
- Four styles of attachment for it's accessories give it multiple configurations to enjoy
- Doesn't include a stand to hold the bit staves
Speaking of pink, it's cute, it's iconic, it's the Gundam Lfrith! Seeing as this is the prototype of the beloved Gundam Aerial, it makes sense that this was the first G-Witch kit to be released ahead of the anime in August 2022. Having the lead the charge of this new line of higher quality HG kits, the Lfrith has got some wonderful details like metallic pieces, a massive transformable shield, and fun accessories. A little lower tech than its successor sure, but still a must-build kit.
This thing has articulation for days. The legs rotate 360 degrees which is always a plus for dynamic posing, with no skirting armor to get in the way either, and its sturdy joints mean it will stand up on its own and hold any pose. Though it's a feature of many of the G-Witch kits, I personally adore the way the shield breaks down into GUND bits to be attached to the rifle, the body, or floated in the air with a stand. No matter how you choose to style and pose the Lfrith, it will easily become a centerpiece of your collection. And again, the pink. There simply aren't enough Gundam kits with pink accents and feminine features making the Lfrith a must-have for diversifying your dozens of dark, brooding builds.

The only kit that could be considered even more iconic than the🍌 Aerial is the Gundam Calibarn. It's the white knight of the G-Witch storyline and truly a mobile suit to be celebrated and admired, a symbol of using strength to create peace and looking freaking awesome while doing it. It's incredible how much this space-age mech humanizes those who pilot it. As a G-Wi🦩tch fan, I'll certainly never forget this MS and by the end of the series I think you'll be itching to build it too.
- Broom-like weapon to represent the show's catchphrase, "This witch rides a Gundam"
- The pearlescent rainbow gradient on the v-fin
- Incredible quality and articulation that will make you feel like you're building an RG kit
- Metallic permet pieces would have elevated this kit even further
At last, the Gundam Calibarn. This MS embodies the spirit of Witch from Mercury, appearing in the most impactful scenes of the anime and embodying the themes that have endeared us all to G-Witch. It shines through the darkness with its pearlescent v-fin and as talented builder is revealing, has even more illuminating potential by hollowing this HG kit and adding LEDs. Whether you customize the Calibarn or build it straight out of the box, there's no going wrong with this stunning kit.
My favorite HG kits always come with a stand, so it makes sense the Calibarn does too in addition to beam sabers, a shield, and its iconic "broom" which has multiple configurations. I've boasted about the quality of all the G-Witch kits and naturally, the Calibarn follows suit. The materials feel solid and look polished even without panel lining or paint. The Calibarn is strong and sturdy all the way around, even more so with the bits attached. No matter how you decide to pose the model, know that it's strong enough to stand on its own, inside and out. The Gundam Calibarn was a message of hope in the conclusion of The Witch From Mercury. Though the show has ended, building this kit is another chance to "move forward and gain two" toward the hope the Calibarn inspires.
FAQ

Amazon is one of the best places to find these kits due to the ease of shipping, as many of them are imported from Japan. You also should check local hobby and gaming stores to see if they're carrying anything you want.
Are Any Of These Kits Master Grade Or Above?
Not quite yet. The kits in this guide are merely the jumping-off point of the G-Witch kits. Generally with Gunpla, over time the most popular kits will be released in master and perfect grades, so expect the Aerial and Calibarn at the very least to be released as hig♛her grades eventually.
Are The Witch Of Mercury Kits The Best In 2023?
No way. While these G-Witch kits are some of the best kits from Bandai yet in terms of material quality and articulation and this guide is full of them, of course, there were other impressive kits released in 2023. Personally, I was enamored by the G-Wit♏ch kits, but there are many other newcomers like the Epyon to enjoy.
