When you think of figures, you may think of action figures that have articulation and can be played with. The figures Kotobukiya makes aren't like that. They're more like statues that are meant to be displayed. So, the visual appeal of these figures is very important. Thankfully, the manufacturer has a wonderful track record of creating detailed and striking products.

Some of them are based on various Marvel characters. This line has been around for a few years now and has resulted in some exc🃏ellent figures inspired by both comics and movies. The following ones, though, are the best you can currently purchase.

Updated on July 2, 2024, by Vaspaan Dastoor: Kotobukiya is one of the most popular names when it comes to superhero figures. This is mainly down to the articulate detailing, as well as separate lines of figures and statues, each with its own art style. We've updated this list to include a few more of these figures.

Product Image Of Loki Kotobukiya statue
Size
15"

In the first Avengers movie, 𒊎Loki wore a gold headdress and green cape while holding a scepter. That could also be a description of this figure, as it's based on that version of the character.

Pros & Cons
  • Excellent face sculpt that makes him look just like Tom Hiddleston
  • His outfit perfectly resembles Loki from The Avengers

Tom Hiddleston has done such a good job playing Loki in the MCU that he's the face people picture when they think of the character. The downside is that some fans expect almost every Loki figure to look like the actor. Yet, if you're one of them, you won't be disappointed in this Kotobukiya statue.

It looks just like Hiddleston due to the fantastic head sculpt. Just look closely at his face - it's a spitting image of the actor. That's not where the accuracy ends, either, as his entire outfit and scepter from the original Avengers movie have been brilliantly re-created here.

Image Of the Dark Phoenix Kotobukiya Statue
Size
9"

No one is safe with the Dark Phoenix around. But at least the statue is an accurate re-creation of the character. Th♛is is due to her shiny red and yellow outfit. Behind her is a phoen🔜ix made out of flames.

Pros & Cons
  • Her suit looks like the comic version
  • The flaming phoenix behind her is incredible
  • Very expensive

While it's never been adapted that well in the movies, the Dark Phoenix Saga was a significant one in Marvel's comic history. Therefore, the Dark Phoenix character, aka Jean Grey, deserves a great figure. This one is in the Bishoujo style, so it is a more cutesy version of the character than what is usually depicted.

Yet, despite her cute face, she still looks really cool and formidable. This is because she is clearly angry,🃏 and the flames behind her, which are in th༒e shape of a phoenix, look fantastic. In fact, that might be the best part of the statue, as the coloring on the flaming phoenix is wonderful.

Product Image of Marvel Thor Kotobukiya Statue in front of purple background
Size
14"

The comic version of the God of Thunder looks excellent in statue form. He is w🍸earing his usual blue and black suit with a large red cape. On his head is his silver, winged helmet, while Mjolnir rests in his right hand. The last thing to admire is his bulging muscles, as this is a muscular God.

Pros & Cons
  • Accurate attire
  • The shading to make his outfit look more like the comic version is a nice touch
  • Plenty of detail has gone into his muscles and face

Even 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dragon Ball figures would be jealous of the arms on this Thor statue. The man is jacked. That's not all he's got going for him, though. He's also got majestic hair, and his outfit looks just like the comic version. There is even some nice shading on his clothes to give them a more comic style.

It's truly one of the more visually striking Marvel figures out there. It's immensely detailed, too, as you can see the veins and muscles in his arms. Plus, his face also contains several small details.

Marvel Ant-Man Kotobukiya Statue With Little Wasp and Ant-Man
Size
7"

One Ant-Man is fine, but two A🐻nt-Mཧen and The Wasp are even better. One of the Ant-Men is large and wearing a highly detailed red and black outfit with a silver helmet. The other is wearing the same thing but is much smaller and riding an ant. The Wasp is small, too, and she's flying through the air.

Pros & Cons
  • Includes three statues
  • Reasonably priced
  • Great coloring on the big Ant-Man's outfit

It's easy to appreciate this Ant-Man because you technically get three in one. Yes, The Wasp and smaller Ant-Man aren't regular statue sizes, but they're still lovely bonuses. Plus, they're fairly well-detailed, and being smaller fits these characters.

The big Ant-Man figure is ಞthe meat of the package, though. He looks great in his vibrant red and black suit, which is very well-colored. MCU fans may think the whole getup, including the helmet, looks odd. This is because the statue is based on the recent comic versions of the character. So, the suit is actually very accurate.

Marvel Kotobukiya Statue Of Kate Bishop Holding Lucky The Pizza Dog's lead
Size
10"

This Kate Bishop statue has her hands full. She's carrying her precious bow in one hand while theꦏ other is holding onto Lucky The Pizza dog's leash. She is wearing the classic purple outfit she often sports in the comics. Luckyඣ, on the other hand, is his usual golden self and is pulling Bishop away as she tries desperately to hang onto him.

Pros & Cons
  • Comical concept of Lucky pulling Kate Bishop
  • Great details on Lucky's paws and fur
  • Neat touch of Lucky holding pizza in his mouth
  • Good choice of outfit for Kate

This Bishoujo Kate Bishop f𒁏igure is one of the most wholesome and humorous Marvel statues you will find. The image of the archer struggling to hold onto her dog, Lucky, is very different from the serious action or heroic poses that most Marvel figures take. As a result, it feels unique.

It's also a lovely-looking statue. Lucky, in particular, is well-detailed, which allows his paws and fur to resemble a real dog. The pizza in his mouth is a nice touch. As for Kate, she has the classic sweet Bishoujo face, and her outfit is a solid re-creation of one of her classic attires from the comics.

Product Image Of Marvel Rogue Kotobukiya Statue
Size
9"

Most people would struggle to make a green and yellow suit with a brown jacket work, but Rogue is not like most people. She has made the look iconic, wh﷽ich is why this statue is wearing it. Along with the notable look, she delivers a unique pose. Her arm is up, and it looks like she's borrowed Woಌlverine's powers for a bit.

Pros & Cons
  • Repping the classic outfit
  • The inclusion of the claws makes the statue unique
  • Very expensive

Rogue might have had several different looks, but the most iconic is undoubtedly the green and yellow suit with a brown jacket. So, it's good to see this statue rocking that specific look, which has been beautifully re-created for this product. Her hair is amazing, too, as not only does it resemble Rogue's locks, but it also looks like it's blowing in the wind.

Because of the Bishoujo style used, the face looks like a more cutesy version of Rogue. The facial expression, though, allows her to show a bit of attitude, as does her pose, in which she brandishes the claws she absorbed from Wolverine. She doesn't get his claws too often, so even 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the best X-Men action figures of Rogue rarely 🦹have her sport꧃ing them. It adds an extra level of originality to this figure.
