Mythical Pokemon are some of the rarest in the game, only being obtainable through quite arbitrary means. Many of them have some sort of defining factor to them, such as a signature move♚ or a certain kind of stat spread.
Whatever the case may be, you would hope that these rare Pokemon would be powerful to some extent. That's certainly true for these Mythical Pokemon from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a competitive sense. These Pokemon have a lot going for them in terms of viability, and are quite possibly t☂he best Mythical Pokemon in🎐 the current meta.
Note: Mythicals not available in Sword and Shield, such as Manaphy and Darkrai, will not be included.
10 Zarude
The only Mythica✃l Pokemon from Generation VIII so far is an interesting one from a viability perspective. Whᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚile it has a few unremarkable attributes, Zarude can be pretty valuable if you use it right.
Its main selling point is its signature move, Jungle Healing, which heals a bit of HP and removes inflicted status effects. It's also a very capable attacker given enough set-up, with access to nice offensive moves such as Power Whip, Darkest Lariat, and Close Combat. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:It works great on a sun team, too, thanks to its Leaf Guard ability. If you can avoid getting hit by𒐪 a quad-super-effective U-Turn, Zarude's a great option for Dark-type and Grass-type offense.
9 Volcanion
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The value of Scald a꧅s a competitive move cannot be understated. The ability to inflict burns while dealing reliable damage can swing ♌your opponent’s momentum hard left. Fortunately for Volcanion, it has the ability to deal Scald-like effects with even more damage. That comes from its signature move, Steam Eruption, which is like Scald in inflicting burns 30% of the time, but it does so with 110 ba🌞se power compared to Scald’s 80.
That alone should make Volcanion quite viable, but it adds to that with its great defenses, especially on the physical end (120). It also has access to a few nice utility moves such as Defog, Haze, and Tox෴ic to run alongside Steam Eruption and your special Fire-type attack of choice.
8 Jirachi
Jirachi is one of the few Pokemon blessed with the excellent Serene Grace ability, as well as the learnset to make the most of it. It's considered by many as one of the most frustrating Pokemon to battle, having the potential𓆏 to Iron Head and Zen Headbutt its opponent into consecutive flinches.
Stat-wise, it'♈s one of those standard 100-across-the-board Mythicals, so it could essentially play a𝕴ny role. That said, it's probably at its weakest defensively, since the Steel/Psychic dual typing isn't as great as it used to be when it comes to defensive weaknesses. Still, that ability to flinch opponents into misery can't be messed with, even if it's a bit RNG-reliant.
7 Mew
The first Mythical Pokemon isn't an Uber🧜s-level threat anymore, but it's still incredibly viable. Mew is perhaps the most all-around Pokemon ever, having the 100-across-the-board stat spread and a near-unlimited movepool. That ability to 🔯learn almost any move can't really be seen elsewhere, and that gives it great viability as a utility player with access to a surplus of staple status moves.
Of course, a jack of all trades is a master of none, so don't expect Mew to be an offensive flamethrower. While it can p♔rovide decent offense when needed, it won't knock anyone out of the༺ park. It's at its best when it's a cog in a team-wide strategy, not when it's the offensive focus of the team.
6 Keldeo
Not only does Keldeo hit hard at 129 Special Attack, but its value in having an excellent offensive dual-typing and being a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:special attacking Fighting-type is unparalleled. It delivers the goods with an excellent STAB movepool, with access to a flurry of great Water-type moves and its signatur💮e Secret Sword, as well as Calm Mind for setting up.
It's far from a one-trick pony though — pun not intended. It has unexpectedly decent bulk at 9💮1 HP and 90 in both defenses, so it can take a hit or two. It also has a decent utility movepool, containing useful moves like Taunt, Flip Turn, Icy Win🐻d, and Toxic.
5 Victini
Victini's a very unique offensive 'mon. It's got the standard 100-each stats, a bag of moves to🧸 match the best of the best, and a dual-typing with tons of offensive 🐻potential to make up for its many defensive weaknesses.
Said bag includes two excellent signature moves: the physical V-Create and special Searing Shot. It also includes Zekrom's signature moves, giving Victini both Bolt Strike and Fusion Bolt as excellent Electric-type options. There's also a slew of coverage and utility moves to watch out for, and all of them benefit from the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:signature Victory Star ability's boost to accuracy. While it isn't a great sweeper, the sheer power of Victini's moves gives it viability as a wallbreaker, with 100 Speed beating most defensive wal🦹ls to the pu🎃nch.
4 Zeraora
It's a close race between Zeraora and Regieleki as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the best competitively legal🌊 Electric-type. W💙hile Zeraora isn't as fast as Regieleki,▨ it can hit back much harder while still generally winning the Speed race against many Pokemon. Those signature Plasma Fists will put most Water- and Flying-types to sleep on impact. The wide movepool doesn't hurt, either. It includes coverage moves such as Close Combat, Play Rough, Blaze Kick, and Outrage; utility moves such as Volt Switch, Knock Off, Toxic, and Taunt; and an excellent set-up move in Bulk Up.
Lately, Zeraora's been put to use as an intimidating pivot. Switching it in threatens any opposing Pokemon weak tཧo Electric, while also taking on potential Electric-type attacks unscathed thanks to Volt Absorb.
3 Melmetal
No other Pokemon really defines the role of a tank better than Melmetal: take hits, hit back harder. This Ste🦩el-type Mythical has both the Attack stat to hit like a truck and defenses on both the🔯 physical and special side to stay on the field.
As is standard with Mythicals, it has an excellent signature move. Double Iron Bash delivܫers two unhinged swings of Steel-type damage, boosted further by its Iron Fist ability. What really makes Melmetal as viable as it is, though, is its surprisingly wide pool of coverage, with moves such as Earthquake, Thunder Punch, and Ice Punch. No matter how you buꦏild it, Melmetal can serve as one of your team's hardest hitters.
2 Magearna
This Generation V🌊II Mythical and recent addition to Smogon's Ubers tier is blessed with arguably the best dual-typing in the game in Steel/Fairy. While that benef👍its other Pokemon in different ways, Magearna makes it work as a very good wallbreaker and even sweeper under the right circumstances.
Two things give it excellent sweep potential. The first is the set-up move, Shift Gear, which boosts its measly 65 Speed by two stages. The second is its ability, Soul-Heart, which works as a Special Attack variant of Moxie. Both of those working in unison with a movepool consisting of Thunderbolt, Focus Blast, Energy Ball, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the signature Fleur Cannon, and the like can make M❀agearna borderline impossible tꩲo stop.
1 Genesect
Another wielder of an excellent dual-typing, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Bug/Steel-type Genesect has long been in the Ubers tier since its debut in Generation V, and for good reason. It has just too many things going for🌱 it to keep it from dropping down to any legal competitive tiers.
It's a true mixed attacker, able to deal physical and special attacks in equal measure, with the🎐 help of the 🤡Download ability that boosts Attack or Special Attack by a stage depending on which would be more suitable. Add to that an incredibly diverse movepool, with loads and loads of coverage to complement a standard set of U-Turn, Iron Head, and its signature move, Techno Blast, and Genesect is an incredible choice.
