The standard Nuzlocke rules are simple: you can only catch the first Pokemon you see on each route; if a Pokemon faints in battle, it's dead and you can't use it again; and you have to nickname each Pokemon so that you form an emotional bꦑond with them.

There are, of course, tweaks and additional rules that make a Nuzlocke even harder, and many differeꩲnt fan-made challenges you can try𓆏.  Below are ten of the best Pokemon you can u💞se to have the highest chances of beating the Nuzlocke challenge.

10 Gyrados

Gyrados

Gyrados is an absolute beast of a Pokemon. It is fast and offensively pow🦩erful, making it perfect for the Nuzlocke challenge. It also comes with the intimidate ability, and, depending on what generation you're playing, a mega evolution.

Magikarps are so common when fishing that you're almost guaranteed at least one in every Nuzlocke. Gyrados is absolutely destroyed by Electric-type Pokemon, so maybe catch a spare if you can. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Generational changes and gimmicks can make Gyrados more pow🔯erful, but it's always a good and easy choice.

9 ꦑ Fire Starters

generation one to six fire type starter pokemon

The first real choice in any Pokemon game is what starter to choose.  Normally, this would be done based on personal preference, but for Nuzlockes there's a pretty good rule-oไf-thumb: pick the Fire-type.

Fire-types are rare in most generations, so starting with one ensures you'll 🍎never be missing a cꦚrucial typing. Unless you let it faint. Water-types are the most common type so you'll definitely get a good one, while Grass-types are generally not that great or necessary.

8 Swampert

Swampert from the Pokemon Anime ready for battle

The only starter you should always pick over a Fire-type one is Swampert. It only has one weakness, Gꦬrass, and is completely immune to Electric. It also boasts an incredible 110 bas🅰e Attack stat, meaning STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) Earthquakes are going to deal serious damage.

The m😼ain drawbacks to Swampert are its speed and the lack of physical/special split in Gen III. Despite thes🍒e though, it is still an absolute powerhouse that you'd be foolish not to take.

7 Legendaries (If Y𝔉ou're A Coward)

an assortment of legendary pokemon in space

While some Nuzloke variations ban static enco♈unters (the Pokemon that sit in the overworld) and Pokemon that are giℱfted to you, others don't.  For those that don't, the box legendary will be one of the strongest Pokemon available to you in the game.

These can almost always be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:caught with a Masterball to avoid the risk of killing them or them killing your team. These will give you a significant edge in any Pokemon league, as they come at a high lꦰevel and with some incredibly power🧸ful moves.

6 Garchomp

Garchomp is one of the strongest Dragon-type Pokemon ever. It's a pseudo-legendary (same 600 base stat total but without the uniqueness) with huge Attack and very good Speed stats. Gible is a pretty easy encounter to get in Gen IV, though it does take a long time to level up into its final for🍌m.

Be careful if you're using Mega Garchomp, as it's actually a bit slower than the standard form, though it does have way more attack. Sand Veil is a great ability that helps Garchomp avoid Blizzards and Ice Beams, which are the only real way to ensure a🍨 one-hit-KO against it.

5 Crobat

In most Pokemon games you can't set foot in a cave without being accosted by an endless amount of Zubats. In most instances, this would be pretty annoying. However, in a Nuzlocke, t💧hese little critters are great news!

With a little bit of leveling and a lot of friendship grinding, you can get a Crobat as early as level 23. With 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:phenomenal Speed, surprising bulk, and decent Attack, Crobat is a great addition to your team. Their Poison-typing comes in real handy 🐻in generations that have Fairy-type Pokemon to deal with, too.

4 ♉Early Game Bug Pokemon

While Caterpie, Scatterbug, and Wurmple seem like nothing more than bird-food, Butterfree, Vivillion, and Dustox are all great early-game additi💧ons to your team. Although these Pokemon will quickly fall behind the rest of your team, they are the earliest fi😼nal evolution Pokemon available to you.

They may not be of much use after the third gym or so, but most offer great status moves to aid with catching new Pokemon or dealing with Pokemon that wall your team. Unfortunately, Bug-types are not that high🍌ly regarded compared to ꦍothers but don't waste these encouꦰnters as fodder. Train them up, ෴and give them a chance to shine.

3 Eevee

Many Pokemon games offer you an Eevee at some point. While it can be tempting to immediately evolve it into your favorite of the Eeveeloutions, try being patient and waiting💟 to see what type your team is sorely missing. Need a Psychic-type, Espeon; don't have a Surf Pokemon, Vaporeon; need a tank, Umbreon.

Eevee is useful due to its incredible potential to help yo🍰u out of type-specific jams further into your journey. By all means, evolve it as soon as you get it if that's what you want; however, for the best chance of winning, it is wise to wait and see what evolution will be the most useful.

2 Blissey

Possibly the most iconic wall in Pokemon, Blissey has an absurd 255 base HP stat and 135 Special Defence. It has a fantastic TM move⛄pool, with great healing and stalling options. Add the Serene Grace or Natural Cure abilities and Blissey is truly a force to be reckoned with.

Pokemon AI is notoriously easy to get around if a trainer acts smartly. Just make sure Blissey is only ever up against Special𝔍 Attackers and you can't go wrong.

1 Aegislash

The Pokemon Aegislash in a neutral stance in a battle

Aegislash is one of the best Pokemon ever made, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:it even has a ban in competitᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚive play to prove it. Honedge is a relatively common encounter early in X &🌳; Y. It's dual Steel/Ghost-typing combine𒁃d with its incredible stats and ability make Aegislash both a wall and a sweeper. No wonder it got banned.

By utilizing King's Sheilཧd, Swords Dance, Shadow Sneak, and Iron Head, this Pokemon can take deal with pretty much anything the AI can throw at it. With this monster on ꦰyour team, nothing can get in your way.
