Shiny forms for Normal-type Pokemon can be rather hit or miss. Sometimes they can be overly subtle, like Snorlax's; such a minor change that it's difficult to tell this is the alternate form at all. Other times, a Normal-type can be lumbered with a color scheme that doesn't seem to fit, like the garish green shiny Chansey that just loo🦄ks sickly.
However, in some special cases, there are shiny Normal-type Pokemon that not only look good, but perhaps are even better than the iconic non-shiny form. These special color schemes are anything but normal; they are spectacular. There's a wide range of eclectic Pokemon that share this typing, and here are the most stellar shinies of them all.
10 🐲 Heliolisk: From Yellow To Sunb🍌urnt Red
By all accounts, Heliolisk is a very unconventional Pokemon. It has Electric and Normal typing, and the latter doesn't really fit its standard look. It also has the Dry Skin ability which grants it an immunity to Water-type attacks, but it also can learn Surf (Normal Pokemon are known for their wide movepools).
Heliolisk is confusing from top to bottom, but its shiny form makes it all feel hilarious. This sun-dried lizard, which you need to evolve with a Sun Stone after finding its pre-evolution in the dry badlands, has a shiny form that looks sunburnt. It went from yellow to bright red. That Dry Skin now mak🦄es a lot more sense.
9 🌞 Wooloo: The Black Sheep Of The Family 🎃
Sometimes Game Freak doesn't need to think too hard when coming up with color schemes for a shiny form. Wooloo is based on a sheep, and its evolved form on a ram. Its shiny form is the literal black sheep of the Wooloo family. If you shiny-hunted in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Sword and Shield, then one of your f🔴irst hunts wꦑas probably for Wooloo.
The black and white color scheme is simple, but it works well with this Pokemon. It's an adorable critter with a shiny form that's both fitting and visually appealing (168澳洲幸运5开奖网:many fans have always loved black shin🌟y Pokemon), which puts it 🏅💞above Heliolisk. It is rather a plain look, though.
8 🐬 Hisuian Zorua andꦇ Zoroark: A Royal Blue Ghost From Unova
The newest shiny Pokemon on this list was also one of the most anticipated new creatures in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Zorua's and Zoroark's forms from the Unova region already have great shiny variants. Luckily, the same is true for the Hisuian forms.
The red and pink colors from the original form are swapped out for light and dark blues, a similar transformation to that of Unovan Zorua🌜 and Zoroark. However, the color change fits the Hisuian forms so much better because of the Ghost typing. This was a bold color change for a bold new variant, held back only by the fact that shiny Zorua and Zoroark have already boasted this color scheme.
7 Eevee: It May Be Silver, But ♒It Deserves a Gold Medal
Shiny Eevee evolutions vary wildly. In some cases, they're unique and creative, like Sylveon's shiny form. In other cases, you'll get a lackluster shiny Pokemon like Flareon, which hardly differs from the original. Luckily, a shiny Eevee is almost as stellar as its best 🃏shiny evolutions.
The dark and light browns have been traded in for silver and white. This Eevee looks like a beautiful blank canvas, which is exactly what Eevee is at its core. It's a beautiful color choice that fits this incredibly versatile Pokemon. Were the color a bit more bold, if the silver were to be a bit more pronounced and shine more, this shiny could have climbed the ranks.
6 Milta🌠nk: Big, Beautiful, Blue
In the folk tale of Paul Bunyan, Bunyan befriends a blue bull named Babe. Game Freak missed an opportunity by not making the bul💫l Pokemon Tauros blue like its folktale counterpart, but fellow bovine Miltank got the memo.
Miltank's is already a simple design, so swapping out one of its colors for something so different and striking was a brave move. Fortunately, there's no denying that it paid off. Miltank looks really striking clad in blue. The only real negative is that this shiny has long gone underrated, rather like Miltank itself. With that being said, the question remains: do shiny Miltank make blueberry-flavored milk?
5 Porygon, Po𒅌rygon2, And Porygon-Z: Out With the Pink, in With the Blue
While Porygon's shiny form is great, it's the steady improvement that makes the whole evolution line a marvel. With all three Pokemon, the only two colors are a brazen pink and a soft blue. The shiny forms swap out the former for a darker blue, while the light blue from the original starts off as a mix of cyan and pink. It then gets progressively lighter as the digital monster moves from its first evolution to its final one.
These shiny forms are arguably better than the original color palette, and make an already unique Pokemon even more quirky and interesting to look at. It's topped only by Pokemon that boast even more creative colors.
4 🌃 Toucannon: The Warm Weather Bird Gets Cold Colors 🅷
When you take a look at Toucannon's normal color palette, you can tell that it is going to have an impressive shiny form. The bright colors on the beak, along with the more subtle hues around the face and eyes, make this Beak-Blasting beauty a highly desirable shiny.
Toucannon's shiny form swaps out the warmer yellow and red on the beak in favor of colder purples and blues. This choice is striking, and makes this alternate look feel all the more special. If the colors were a bit more bold, and the rest of Toucannon got a color change, this could have even taken the top spot. Nevertheless, as it is, the change is fantastic but limited. This shiny bird can put a hole in your opponent's team and look great while doing it.
3 Noctowl: Crimsonꦐ on the Outside, Gold on the Inside
The only shiny Pokemon Ash Ketchum ever caught is also one of the coolest Normal-type Pokemon of all time. Noctowl's shiny form is the definition of everything a Shiny Pokemon should be. It is a bold with its color choice, and looks proud to have it. The brown earth tones are gone, and what is left is pure vibrancy.
Striking orange-crimson wings with gold feathers on the inside make this look like a proud owl that would be the jewel of anyone's team. This shiny bird has a bit more history than Toucannon, which is why it's rated a little bit higher. Only the very finest shiny Normal-types top it.
2 Regigigas: A ꧒Frozen Legendary Pokemon
Serving as the one and only 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:shiny Legendary Pokemon on this list, it's Regigigas. In most games where you encounter this behemoth, it's sitting, frozen in place almost like a statue. In Regigigas's first appearance, you find it lying dormant on the bottom floor of an ancient, frozen temple. It is almost as though Regigigas is frozen in time, never to return to its former glory ever again.
This shiny form captures that energy beautifully. The dark blue colors make Regigigas look old and cold. Gone are the brazen, gold bands; this Regigigas is a shadow of its former self and the proof is written on its face. It may be a subtle change, but it's perfect for this Legendary Pokemon's aesthetic.
1 Obstagoon: Was Black and White, But It's Now Pink and Cyan All Over
The normal color p🉐alette for Obstagoon is great; it looks like a rock star ready to hit the stage and stun adoring fans with its music. The change in color palette is not only a design upgrade, but also feels like Obstagoon is changing musical genres. This shiny form feels very punk-rock British invasion. Obstagoon loses the heavy metal flair, and instead looks like it is going to blast some Ramones-style mu🌺sic after destroying its green room.
The color change is incredibly bold, even when compared to other entries on this list. It's arguable that there isn't a brightly-colored shiny in all of Pokemon that suits and pulls off the daring look quite like Obstagoon does.
