The galore of Pokémon cards can be seen as overwhelming. At least several variations of each creature exist. They strike different poses, have a special attribute, or, in our case, are different colors. Shiny Pokémon are every collector's dream, and people go to massive lengths in order to obtain one. When a regular pack of cards won't suffice, . The wild west of the selling woꦦrld exists on eBay--a paradise that requires a strong sense of separating the wheat from the chaff.

There is absolutely no set price for one c🌟ard, but we're here to find the happy medium. Here are 10 of the best shiny Pokémon cards..🌞.and their median price.

10 🍨 🧸 Torchic Gold Star Team Rocket Returns; MEDIAN: $353.74

Starting our list, this one-of-a-kind Torchic card is tied to a spܫecific expansion of cards revolving around our favorite nefarious team. It featured Dark Pokémon from Generations 1 and 2. These Pokémon had dual typing and a gloomy picture to denote that they were corrupted.

The only Generation 3 Pokémon to make the set were our wonderful sta♋rters. Out of all of them, Torchic is the most expensive. Its moveset might cause you to chuckle, as there is really nothing dangerous about it. Then again, it's a first evolution starter, so we have to give it a break.

9 Delta Species Groudon Gold Star (Holo); MEDIAN: $147.45 ♏

This card is gunning for you. The titan Groudon reaches out from the frame. You can feel its massive strength, and you know it's going to be bad news if it hits you with that claw. Its almost grinning too, which disparages any attempt at companionship. It wants♑ your Pokémon o𝓡ut of the picture.

This card is very rare. As we'll see in this list, it really depends on the seller and the condition of the card. Its moveset isn't groundbreaking--Ground Slash is stale, but Critical Collection is a bit interesting. For a legendary, h♒owever, it doesn't quite have the backing that others do.

8 Gold Star Espeon; MEDIAN: $381.07 💮

A Pokémon this cute and nimble shouldn't be capable of such chaos. Those eyes will 𝓰give their intentions away. If they seem innocent, then you've been hypnotized and duped.

Perhaps we're being a bit overdramatic, but there is a move that warrants this fear. Purple Ray doesn't just confuse your opponent's entire team; it confuses yours too. Why would you ever do such a thing? Unless, of course, it's the last resort. The other move, Psychic Boom, is pretty straightforward. Besides those sadistic tendencies, this carܫd is pretty rad but will cost y✅ou a pretty penny.

7 Gold Star Regice൩ Holo; MEDIAN: $160.74 ♒

Another Gold Star card, Regice shines bright with its sparkly background. Its arms are stretched out like it's in the middle of an attack. Knowing what we know about Regice from the games and the movies, you're in for a world of hurt.𒅌 We hope you packed some winter gear.

Ice Barrier is a protective move that is quite valuable during a battle, and Final Blizzard actually punishes ꦐyour opponent for being down to the laꦏst prize card. Talk about a low blow. Regice is weak only to steel types, so that makes it tough if you're conditioned to "fire trumps ice."

6 Neo Des൲tiny Shini🎐ng Charizard; MEDIAN: $379.37

We've all seen someone with a black Charizard. We've all been jealous of that kid--who boasts and bไoasts without remorse. They either got it through breeding or convinced some stupid kid to trade it to them. But they forgot the punchline: while it's cool they have one, they🤪 can't sell theirs for 400 dollars.

This is the first, but certainly not the last, shining Charizard on this list. We can definitely award it the costliest, but it also receives the award for clumsiest. It has one move: Whit🍸e-Hot Flame. The damꦇage output is very good, but the consequence for landing on tails is downright silly (30 damage to itself.) For the reason it has 100 HP to spare, it ranks lower on this list.

5 Latias Gold Star EX Deoxys Holo; MEꦜDIꦰAN: $278.14

Latias is no powerhouse, but her support is well appreciated. It might not be the first Pokemon you se𒅌nd out, but she'll be there when you need it. Latias is a defender Pokémon, after all, and through thick and thin she'll help you out until the end.

Her first move is especially thoughtful. Healing Lig𓂃ht will remove 1 damage counter from each of your Pokemon, and it costs 1 energy card. Shooting Star hits an EX card with considerable damage--50 plus 100--and will still hit regular Pokemon with the base 50. Other than that, Latias does🥀n't have much going for her.

4 🎀 Charizard Gold Star 100/101 Holo Ultra Rare EX Dragon Frontiers; MEDIAN: $298.16

He🐈re is our second shiny Charizard. Its sleek, black design meshes well with the dark background of the card. In this expansion, it has the honor of shar𝐆ing the Gold Star status with none other than Mew!

This particular Charizard comes through with the heat, but not what you'd expect. It utilizes--against all odds--dark type moves, even though there should be nothing different between a regular Charizard and its shiny form. Though Rotating Claws amounts to a paltry sum, Dark Swirl is more tha☂n enough to roast the competition. The only unfortunate thing is that we wish it had more HP.

3 Japanese Shining Mewtwo No. 150; MEDIAN: $🐟212.88

For this particular case, the Japanese version of this card costs more than the American🐎 one. It's estimated at a higher value despite both of them be😼ing rare in their own right. Either way, the card is incredibly rustic and is of the era when cards displayed length, weight, and a slight description of the Pokemon.

Mewtwo's moves are just sizzling with psychic energy. Reflect shield allows all damage to be negated with a simple flip of the coin. Psyburst stacks on the pain, with a base 🃏damage of 40 plus 10 for any energy card the opposing Pokemon has.

2 Ra꧂yquaza Gold Star Holo Pokemon Card Deoxys 107/107; MEDIAN: $🐼740.19

This might be the most🔜 expensive card we encountered. Scrolling through the numbers, there's barely a listing under 600 dollars. In fact, there's more in the 1000 area, 2000 area, even 6000 area! You might be selling Grandma's antique ring after all.

Not to mention, Rayquaza is tough as nails. Spiral Rush's description states, "Flip a coin until you get tails." Alright. Then, "This attack🙈 does 30 damage times the number of heads." We hope the opponent has a streak of bad luckꦑ that day. Holy Star decimates their Pokemon-EX provided you discard all of Rayquaza's energy cards.

1 Hidden Fates Shining Chariz🃏ard GX; MEDI🅠AN: $273.39

Our friend here is worth less than the shining Charizard earlier❀ in the list, but this is a matter of strength versus value. This card will send you on a power trip like no other. That kid is really going to be shaking in his boots after you're done sweeping the floor with them.

Not only does this card look formidabl✱e, it is formidable. Take one look, now do it again. Do you see that he has 250 HP? Do you see that Crimson Storm does 300 damage? And Raging Out just completely throws off your opponent's groove. Who's the cool kid now?
