These new Legends have changed the playing field drastically from how it was when the game first launched and added dozens of new possible team compositions. Let's take a look at some of the strongest new team compositions that weren't possible back when this list was written:
15 DOC SQUAD [OCT🐟ANE, LIFELINE, GIBRALTAR] 💯
This team composition includes characters that can either heal themself actively or passively, or characters that prevent damage from happening in the first place. Octane has the unique ability to passively heal when outside of combat, saving him quite a few Syringes in the long run. Lifeline has her D.O.C. drone that is going to save your team even more on those Syringes and Medkits, w𓄧hile Gibraltar has two different shield abilities that should go a long way in preventing him from even needing to be healed in the first place.
14 ꦓ 🌼 ALWAYS MOVING FORWARD [OCTANE, WRAITH, PATHFINDER]
Have a team of three aggressive gunners? Then grab three Legends that all excel in th🧸at position. All three of these Legends are at their best when they're pressing the attack instead of defending a position. Octane has both his Stim and his Jump Pad, allowing him and his team to get into advantageous positions with frightening speed. Wraith can get her entire team into a new position almost immediately, provided she's had the time to set up her Portals. And Pathfinder, much like Octane, has abilities to both help himself and teammates keep on the aggress.
13 HUNKER DOWN [WATTSON, LIFELINE, CAUSTIC] ဣ
For those teams that prefer🧔 grabbing a location well inside the Ring and staying there for long periods of time, this is going to be a great team composition. Both Caustic and Wattson excel at trapping/area denial, with each of them able to effectively block off any entrance point or room without forcing the enemy to take some damage first. While your whole team is set up inside, Lifeline can keep her D.O.C. drone handy to heal the whole team, since you'll all be pretty close together.
12 IN PLAIN SIGHT [REVENANT, GIBRALTAR, WATTSON/CAUSTIC] 🗹
This team composition is going to require a really specific plan of attack, but it's one that could pay big dividends in the right situation. Basically, Gibraltar tosses down his Dome Shield, with Revenant then placing his Death Totem in the middle. Either Wattson or Caustic then lines the inside of the Dome with Fences/G🌸as Traps, and viola; enemie♛s can't get inside without taking damage and putting themselves at a disadvantage. If any of you die, you'll respawn inside that Dome Shield, giving you a chance to get your bearing again (and possibly heal up) before going back into the fray.
11 THROW BODI𒀰ES AT THEM [WRAITH/PATHFINDER, OCTANE, REVENANT]
Another lineup that benefits an aggressive team, this is all about rushi🅷ng enemies at any cost. Revenant 𒈔places his Death Totem somewhere out of sight, with Wraith of Pathfinder placing a Portal or Rope next to it allowing revived teammates to get back into the fight quickly. Octane is there for that bit of extra aggression (and Jump Pads), meaning your team can essentially throw bodies at the enemy until they crumple.
10 SMOKE 'EM IF YOU GOT 'EM [CAUSTIC, BANGALORE, BLOODHOUND] 🌠
Both Caustic and Bangalore have an incredible amount of visual cove🍨r they can use. Between Caustic's Gas Canisters and Ban💃galore's Smoke Launcher, the enemy team is going to have a hard time keeping track of this squads whereabouts.
Combine that with Bloodhound's ability to highlight enemies through smoke and Caustic's ability to see through his own smoke, and this squad is a nightmare sc🤡enario for others. This is going to almost entirely neutralize enemy shotgunners' ability to pounce and allow for a much easier time in urban scenarios.
9 AREA OF DENIAL [GIBRALTAR, BANGALORE, CAUSTIC] ꧃
Caustic and Bangalore are both in this squad combo too, but for different reasons. Gibraltar and Bangalore both have air-strike type Ultimate abilities, which are both useful for keeping an enemy team from pushing for a little while, or to p🐎ush them a🐼way from wherever they happen to be.
Caustic is naturally good at this with his Gas Canisters and his Ultimate ability, and ♊if all of these abilities are rotated well, it's pretty easy to dictate where the enemy team is going to have to move. In late-game situations, it's pretty easy to social-engineer fights between enemy teams by 💜pushing them where you want them to go.
8 TROLL TRAPS [CAUSTIC, WRAITH, PATHFINDER] ℱ
This might not be the most effective squad combination, but it certainly makes for a good laug🌼h. Both Pathfinder and Wraith create ways to maneuver between large areas with ease, but it can be tricky to use them effe🧔ctively because enemy teams can use those new modes of transportation, too.
But, i📖f you pair Wraith and Pathfinder with a Caustic, the Caustic can plant a🌠 Gas Canister on the ends of the Rope/Rift, making for an unfortunate surprise for the enemy team.
7 🐓 PROTECTORS [LIFELINE, GIBRALTAR, BANGALORE]
This is probably the most well-rounded combination on this list. All of these Legends can, in one way or another, protect a squad-mate for a short time, or at least help them recover if they've been hurt. Bangalore can create a visual cover for he🎶r team, allowing for easier escapes or giving enough cover to help push.
Gibral🌳tar has his Dome Of Protection, forcing enemies to get into arm's reach if they want to deal any damage. And finally, Lifeline can heal the squad pretty quickly and without resorting to Syringes or Medkits, not to mention she has a heavy-hand in supplying the team with high-level gear, too.
6 🅰 FLANKERS [WRAITH, MIRAGE, PATHFINDER]
This squad excels in reaching areas an enemy team won't expect, or at least get there quicker than the enemy team anticipates. Pathfinder can easily cover ground quicker than any other Legend in this game, not to mention get his entire team into positions that wouldn't otheꦐr🧔wise be possible.
Wraith's Ri💖ft's can get the squad into places without them being seen, and with Mirages ability to trick an enemy into looking the wrong direction with his Decoys, enemies aren't going to have any idea where to look until it's far too late.
