Alolan Sandslash is a type variant that was introduced in the Sun and Moon games. It is the only Steel and Ice-Type combination to date, which is pret💛ty cool.

9 Scizor

Scizor is Bug and Steel-Type. Bugs-Types are not typical player favorites since they have a lot ♎of weaknesses, but Scizor is an ♕exception due to both its cool design and Steel-Typing.

It has the same characteristics as flying red ants and manꩵtises. In that light, its has not had some of the same mystical and creative inspirations as 🅰others. However, it is on this list anyway due to its popularity.

7 Mawile

In terms of design, Mawile is pretty bizarre. However, if you know a lot about yokai . . . then its design actually makes perfect sense. Yokai are basically Japanese monsters, and Mawile is based on Futakuchi-onna. Futakuchi-onna is a woman with a mouth hidde🍬n in the back of her head.

Folklorists that theories that the yokai came to be due to the bel🐟ief that women eat very little, so they must have a secondღ mouth that secretly consumes food.

6 Solgaleo

Solgaleo is a legendary that was introduced in the Sun and Moon games. It is based on the many artworks and parallels of lions and the sun. This is a cross-cultural symbol, probably because lions are bright🌠ly colored and their manes remind artists o𓆉f the rays of a sun.

Thi♑s inspiration also connects to the fact that Lucario can see a life♐form's aura.

Besides Anubis, it is believed that Lucario is based loosely on boxers and martꦑial artists. That would make sense since they are part Fighting-Type!

4 Aegislash

This popular is Ghost ꦺand Steel-Type. It has a pretty creative idea behind it too, a sword and shield that are possessed by some form of ghost or spirit. It is literally a living weapon. It can🍒 fight on its own, but it would be pretty amazing for an actual person to wield them!

It is too easy to fo🌄rget that this little cute legendary is actually part Steel-Type. It is both Steel and Psychic-Type actually. Next to Celebi, it is one of the most adorable legendary Pokémon that exist.

The sweet design is based on various legends and ideas. First of all, Jirachi gran൲ts wishes. So it is loosely based on the design of a star. Its humanoid appearance may also 𓆉be a reference to jinn/Genies. The tags on its head appear to be Tanabata, which is a reference to the Japanese Star Festivals. Its shape and way of moving is a lot like a Karakuri puppet, which is a traditional Japanese automata/doll. It also has ears that resemble a rabbit, which is quite endearing. The rabbit ears and yellow crescent design on its body may be inspired by the Japanese moon rabbit legends. Other par🍸ts of its design are like a nursemaid, as the gear around its head looks like a headdress and the colors of its dress-like body resembles an apron.

1 ❀ Corviknight

This recent addition to the Steel-Type family has a design that players fell in love with. Obviously, it has been inspired♛ by birds such as a raven and crow. What makes that special though is that those are birds commonly found in Great Britain, which the region of Galar is based on. It could also be inspired by the famous Ravens that live in the Tower of London.

What꧑ makes this design such a success though is the combination of the raven and the idea of the "black knight" characters from old Euro𒅌pean legends. Combining those two motifs has made for an amazing design!
