The studio tweeted out that the two new suits from Far From Home were added to the game on July 2, 2019. With the new additions, let's rank the top suits in Marvel's Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4.
Updated November 24, 2021 by Jerrad Wyche: With Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4 making its way to the PS5 via the remaster, there are plenty of new fans who will hop into Peter Parker's story for the first time. The game offers a large variety of suits to unlock that each provides additional powers, and this roster of costumes grew even further when the game's DLC expansions launched, and expanded once again when the remaster of the game was released for the PS5.
15 💯 MK. II Armor 🌳
It's rarely talked about, but because of Peter Parker's amazing powers, he can take some shortcuts with his suit when it comes to tech and protection. Back in 1999, though, Peter was going through an arc in the comics where he lost his Spider-Sense, the ability to sense danger in a fraction of a second. To protect himself during this time he made the MK. II Armor, which provided him a bulletproof layer of protection and also gave him magnetic webbing. The suit also happened to look cool and rather stylish.
14 Scarlet Sp♒ider
The beauty of Spider-Man as a superhero property is that over the years numerous individuals not named Peter Parker have donned a Spider-Man suit. Ben Reilly is a clone of Peter Parker who takes on a life of fighting crime as a hero name🥀d the Scarlet Spider.
His entire Spider-Man suit is red but feature🍨s the addition of a bl🐻ue sleeveless hoodie that sports his take on the Spidey logo on the front in black. A creative nod to the hero being a clone is that the suit creates hologram versions of Peter Parker in the game.
13 ♕ Spider-Punk
Aaron Davis has become th𓆉e modern story of P༒rowler, but a character by the name of Hobie Brown also went by that name. In an alternate universe, that same man founded an army to combat Norman Osborn, who was the President of the United States in this world. Brown took up the mantle of Spider-Punk in which his suit had all the makings of the 80s punk aesthetic, with a pair of chucks on his feet to tie the whole iconic look together.
12 💧 Spirit Spider 🎃
At first glance, it may seem as though the Spirit Spider suit has something to do with Peter Parker taking on the role of Ghost Rider. The truth is that this Peter is from a universe where Uncle Ben never died, Peter became power-hungry stealing other Spider-Man powers and died b﷽ecause of his actions. He was granted another try at life by Bruce Banner, who happened to be the powerful magic-user known as the Sorcerer Supreme in this🅘 same universe, Earth-11638.
11 💦 Into Th𝔉e Spider-Verse
Several additional suits were added to the game with its post-release DLC, and one of the pleasantly surprising additions was that of the older Peter Parker featured in the critically-acclaimed animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Though Mile Morales was the main focus of this film, the older Peter Parker served as a great role model who taught Miles that the best thing he could be is himself. This version of Peter Parker has a swimmer's body in which he sports a prominent a-frame in the suit.
10 🐠 ♌ Upgraded Suit
The black and red su༒it which made its reveal in Spider-Man: Far From Home made its way into the game the day the movie hit theaters. This was an unexpected move that theꦰ developer, Insomniac Games, dropped on fans the same day. It was a great surprise for those currently playing the game or wanting to go back.
Also๊, with renewed interest in the character reaching a peak once again, it was another incentive for new fans to go out and ꦏpick up the award-winning game that was released in 2018.
9 🎃 Vintage Comic Book🅷
Many of the suits in the game change colors or materials, but there are only a handful that change the entire art style of the character model. The vintage comic book suit is a blast from the past that makes the player feel as if they're swinging through the panels of an old comic book. It pairs well with some of the filters in the photo mode of the game and allows talented and eager individuals to layout iconic poses to display in various photographs. It's a suit that will impress the person sitting on the couch next to you.
8 Noir Suit
This version of Spider-Man was pretty niche outside the world of comics, and even for avid-readers coul🔯d have been missed along the way. The Noir suit blew up culturally when Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse featured Spider-Man Noir, who was voiced by Nicolas Cage.
It takes a character who's evolved over the years to still feel fresh and modern and transports him back to an era people yearn over these days. Dropping the right filter into photo mode makes it feel like a Spider-Man photo shoot is taking place in the world of Casablanca.
7 🍰 Homemade Suit
In just a short time, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has provided the world of Spider-Man with numerous new suits that are pretty incredible. Canonically, the first suit Tom Holland's Peter Parker wheres is a makeshift homemade suit that Tony Stark quickly upgrades for him likely due to secondhand embarrassment.
The suit was primarily made with a red hoodie and some goggles and quickly b💟ecame a fan-favorite and a go-to𝔉 cosplay. Wearing the suit in-game allows fans to live out the early days for Peter before he showed up in Captain America: Civil War.
6 Spider-Man 2099 ꧑
Earlier a suit of a character featured in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was mentioned. Well, Spider-Man 2099 wasn't necessarily featured in that film but he was teased during the post-credits scene.
Spider-Man 2099 is a comic that takes place in a dystopian corporate future where a geneticist named Miguel O'Hara becomes Spider-Man due to an accident in his lab. O'Hara's suit is super cool and features a sleek futuristic design that still focuses on the red and blue of Peter Parker's iconic suit.
