168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Water-Type Pokémon is a common type to add to your𓃲 team. They have an advantage over Fire, Ground, and Rock-Types and they also make one-third of the starters for every region. One of the first characters we meet in the anime is a Water-Type specialist, Misty. So it is no wonder they are so popular with fans!

Not all Water-Types are designed alike though. Rather than rank these guys by strength or popularity, we decided to pur💞ely rank ten of them on design alone. Here are what we consider to be the ten Water-Types with the best designs, ranked.

10 Wailord

Wail🎃ord is the largest Pokémon. It is so big that it is resized in the games in order to fit in the battlefields. So the best way to see its🧸 design is by watching the anime. It is as big as a cruise ship!

Wailord is based on blue whales,🗹 which are the largest animals in the world. According to its Pokédex entry, Wailord is 47 feet long. Believe it or not, that is actually about half of the size of a bl♛ue whale!

9 Kingdra

King𒁃dra with both a Water and Dragon-Type . Its design is based on a seahorse and the common seadragon. Being based on those creatures alone makes this a cool Pokémon. Not only is Kingdra a pretty design, but its entire evolution line is 💞high quality. Horsea is adorable and Seadra is cool.

8 Piplup

Penguins are well-loved animals in our world, so Piplup had players ecstatic. Not only that, but it was the Water-Type starter in the Diamond and Pearl g💦ames! It is adorable and a lot of players picked it as their starter because of its cute design.

Unfortunately, the design gets 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:less cute as it evolves. Such is the fate of most star🔥ter Pokémon.

7 Milotic

Milotic is gorgeous but is rated lower than others because it's not the most creative design. It is based off of sea se🧸rpents, sirens, and mermaids. Its body is actually a ♑bit like an oarfish.

Fans love Milotic because it is a gorgeous version of Gyarados. It evolves into an epic creature from an ugly and weak little fish. We love that. It shows the power of change🍰 and growth that we don't see in all evolutions, like a caterpillar turning into a but🥀terfly.

6 Gyarados

The design of Gyarados is based on a sea serpent mixed with a Chinese dragon. It also looks familiar to the cꦅarp windsocks used to celebrate Children's Day in Japan. That actually could explain why it is F𝓡lying-Type as well as Water-Type.

There is a folklore tale that actua🥂lly i🌄nspired the creation of Gyarados as well. It is the story of how a carp that leaped over Dragons Gate would become a dragon. There are theories that the Dragons Gate is one of China's many waterfalls.

5 Oshawott

Oshawott has the same ꧒story as Piplup. It is based on an otter pup. Not only that, but the design is also based on a samurai. What a creative combination! The shell on its belly is called a scalchop and it resembles how otters old their food on their bellies while they swim on their backs. The crazy thing is that the scalchop also resembles the Japanese war fans that samurai would carry with them.

So that is a ton of thought put into this characte𓆉r. According to one of the of the game, Ken Sugimori, its design was actually one of the most difficult to come up with. It may look just as cute as Piplup, but the amount of creativity put into its design as made it rank up just a bit higher.

4 Primarina

From the Sun and Moon games, Primarina was a surprise to everyone. It is t🥂he fully evolved form of the Water-Type starter, Popplio. When Popplio's design was first released, it got a ton of hate from fans. It was absolutely despised for its clown-like appearan꧅ce.

However, it became the opposite of most starter evolution lines. Its final form is the best and cutest! The design is based on mermaids, sirens, selkies, and sea lions. It is﷽ the most feminine design we have ever seen in a starter to this day, and we love it.

3 Lapras

Lapras is known as the water-taxi of the Pokémon world. Fans of the anim𓄧e and games love them for many reasons, one being their uniq🌊ue design.

They seem to be based on Scotland's legend of the Loch Ness Monster. If you know much about the legend, you can see it in how Lapras has a long neck and a large body with fins. It also resembles an extinct marine reptile called a plesiosaur. Its head actually resembles the h✅ull of some old Viking ships as well!

2 Vaporeon

Eevee's many evolutions provide some of the best designs in the franchise. They are absolute fan-favorites. Unlike most others on this list, the origins of Vaporeon's design are not very well known. Like the other evolutions, it is a mixture between a feline and fox. With Vaporeon though, there are also different f𒉰ish designs thrown in there as well. We have dolphins, trop🐻ical fish, and more.

Some think that Vaporeon is based on Merlions, which is a mythical creature that has the head of a lion and 🅷the body of a fish.

1 Suicune

Suicune is a favorite among legendaries. Its design is mysterious, epic, and pretty all at once. Its look has a lot going on. There are various theories ꧋about what its design is based on. It seems to be a combination of mythical beasts from folklore around the world.

Some say it's based on the Sh☂into god Futen,🍒 a leopard, and a Chinese mythical creature called a "qilin."
