The Switch is one of the best regarded modern consoles, and part of the reason for this is its impressive library of titles. A contributor to the massive quantity of high quality titles on the Switch is the large selection of games from the Wii U that were ported over. The Wii U, while🥂 a console that was appreciated by🌄 some, massively undersold.
Because of this, a lot of the content that was created for the console was not appreciated by enough people. So, while Nintendo has put in efꦦfort to port plenty of these titles over to the Switch, giving some significant upgrades, there are still some✤ glaring omissions that Switch players are still missing out on.
8 Nintendo Land ꧂
Nintendo Land was a launch title for the Wii U, and while it didn't have the same cultural impact of launch titles like Wii Sports, it was still a polished party game that enthralled everyone that got a chance to try it out.
On top of this, the references throughout the 12 sub-games to Nintendo series make it a perfect love letter to Nintendo fans who notice the details. Being a launch tit🐻le, Nintendo Land did rely heavily on Wii U exclusive gimmicks using the game-pad, but a spiritual successor on the Switch would be a welcome surprise.
7 🥀 Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival
Perhaps one of the most controversial Wii U originals is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival. The title was announced at the peak of Animal Crossing fans expecting a mainline ga꧙me for the Wii U, 𓄧so getting a party game spin-off instead led to severe backlash.
It didn't help that the game relied heavily on needing Amiibo figures to play, and minigames being hidden behind collectible Amiibo cards. In spite of this, the game has 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the signature Animal Crossing charm, and since the Switch now has a mainline Animal Crossing title in New Horizons, 🍌a spin-off party game would receive a much warmer reception now in comparison to 2015.
6 The Legen♒d Of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
While die-hard Zelda fan🌼s might not have understood Toon Link right away, his debut adventure in The Wind Waker is b๊eloved for good reason. Adventuring across the seas in this GameCube title was so much fun that the title received an HD port onto the Wii U in 2013.
This is now seen as the best way to play Wind Waker, so 𝔉it is a massive shame that there is no way to play this title on the Switch. U🌳nlike some other Wii U titles, The Wind Waker HD does not rely on the gamepad, so porting seems like an inevitability, but one fans are still waiting for.
5 ꦬ Wii Party U
With the launch of the Switch, Nintendo had to move away fr⛎om games using the "Wii" title that had been so popular, especially in the early days of the original Wii.
This unfortunately means that we have yet to receive a third Wii Party game. The Wii original received a follow-up on the Wii U that built upon the foundations of the original classic. These party games fit perfectly with 🎃the style of the Switch, with it being a console perfect for multiplayer and easy to take anywhere.
4 Star Fox Zero ꦦ
When Star Fox Zero initially launched in 2016, it received mix♏ed reviews due to the unnecessarily complex control scheme that required a steep learn🗹ing curve for not too much payoff.
In spite of this, the title is still beloved by plenty of Star Fox fans, and since it came out relatively late into the Wii U's lifespan, it is surprising that it has not been acknowledged by Nintendo much since. Star Fox has only appeared on the Switch in the form of Smash Bros, so getting a full title, whether a port or original on the Switch, is long overdue.
3 Kirby And The Rainbow꧑ Curse
While Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is not the most beloved title featuring Nintendo's cute pink mascot, it is a unique title with a fun art style that would fit perfectly onto the Switch.
Kirby has been getting more and more popular since the Switch's launch with titles like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Forgotten Land, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Return to Dream Land Deluxe, so porting over Rainbow Curse feels like the next logical step. While the controls of the Rainbow Curse might not work perfectly when the Switch is docked, the touch screen controls would work 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:perfectly on an undocked Switch.
2 💟 ℱ Xenoblade Chronicles X
Since the launch of the Switch in 2017, the console has become the best platform for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Xenoblade Chronicles fans to play the series on. Xenoblade 2 and 3 are originals for the console, and the original Xenoblade Chronicles was giꦗven the deluxe 🍰treatment as well.
While this means that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the mainline trilogy is now available, it also leaves Wii U original Xenoblade Chr☂onicles X looking pretty forgotten. Fans have been clamouring for this high quality spin-off title to be ported to the Switch, so hopefully this co🐓mes soon.
1 🏅 The Lege🥂nd Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
While the Wii U didn't get a mainline Zelda title until its swan song, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Breath of the Wild, in 2017, it did receive two Zelda ports, with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Twilight Princess HD being the second. Twilight Princess HD did make some improvem🦹ents to the original GameCube and Wii version of the game, but it was strange of Nintendo to remaster the title in 2016, a year before the Switch launched, and on a console that was fully capable of playing the Wii original as well.
This also makes it even stranger that the title has not been ported over to the Switch yet either, since there is no way to play this classic Zelda adventure at all on Nintendo's latest console.
