While the plot falls a bit short of the depth of other X-Men movies, it has a nice balance of meaningful character development for Logan and popcorn-worthy fight scenes. Not to mention, Hugh Jackman's performance is nothing short of outstanding. Overall, The Wolverine is a thrilling and thoroughly entertaining samurai film.

More Action-Packed Than The First

Deadpool 2 retains its predecessor's dark humor while adding a faster-paced plot, more characters, and a heavy dose of heart-wrenching emotion. After losing the love of his life, Wade Wilson reluctantly joins the X-Men and is quickly placed amidst a war between Cable, the Juggernaut, and a young mutant named Russel.

Few superhero films balance three villains well, yet Deadpool 2 organically incorporates all baddies into the story without detracting from Wade's struggle with grief. While the narrative feels a bit cluttered, the film is nonetheless a funny and enjoyable experience.

6 X-Men

The One That Started It All

The first X-Men film set the standard for all subsequent entries, introducing movie-goers to the conflict between humans and mutants and Wolverine's journey from cage fighting to joining Xavier's team. Thanks to its thought-provoking societal commentary and superb acting, it remains a must-watch for Marvel fans.

While the series' identity wasn't fully developed, the first film shines thanks to its three-dimensional character dynamics. Logan's parental bond with Rogue and Xavier's ideological battle with Magneto are just as charismatic and engaging as when the movie debuted. Both Deadpool movies are a blast to watch. However, I ranked the first one higher because of its less cluttered 🐭plot.

With a ticking clock and high personal stakes for Logan, Days of Future Past delivers one of the most thrilling plots in the series. Plus, the new and old casts blend like a dream, resultꦗing in some of the greatest acting in the X-Men universe.

A Prequel Film For The Ages

Set during the Cold War, First Class pulls back the curtain on Xavier and Magneto's backstory, depicting their first encounter, how they formed the X-Men, and their inevitable falling out. Thanks to its enthralling story, emotional character exploration, and fascinating world-building, First Class miraculously rebooted the series after its near extinction.

Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are near-impossible acts to follow, yet James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender more than surpass expectations with outstanding performances as Professor X and Magneto, respectively.👍 Comic book fans should place this film high on their to-watch list.

This Is How You Do A Sequel

As far as sequels go, X2 is the cream of the crop, providing a bigger story and more emotional depth than its predecessor. When a vicious army commander returns from Wolverine's past, he reluctantly teams up with Magneto to save the mutants and unravel the mystery behind his origins.

Not only does X2 spend more time fleshing out Logan, Professor X, and Magneto, but it also provides much-needed nuance to supporting characters like Iceman, Jean Grey, and Nightc🐟rawler. Excellently written with many epic fight scenes, X2 is the film every sequel should strive༺ to be.

The Best X-Men Movie
