Despite initial reception to the game, BioShock 2 has become a beloved and appreciated title in the gaminಞg community. While many felt it didn’t live up to the success of the original BioShock, something tꦰhe sequel did m𝓰anage to improve on was combat gameplay and mechanics.

While the game features many of the same Plasmids from the original, BioSh✨ock 2 protagonist Subject Delta is given a whole new range of weapons to fight his way through the underwater city of Rapture.

7 ဣ The Hack Tool

While not a damage-focused weapon, the Hack Tool is a great addition to BioShock 2. Given that hacking is so cen༒tral to the first two BioShock games, introducing a tool that focuses on this feature was a well-thought-out addition.

It mainly is used to hack things like Security Devices and Vending Machines from a distanc🌟e that can either then be hacked automatically or manually depending on the type of ammunition used. The final ammo type does lean into the offensive side, shooting off mini turrets that will deal damage to enemies surround𓃲ing it.

6 🌳 The Spear Gun

Bioshock 2 Weapons Spear Gun Cropped

The Spear Gun is BioShock 2’s version of the Crossbow from the first game. Unfortunately, it lacks the Crossbow's practicality and ease and instead becomes a novelty weapon only to be used during one-on-one combat experiences or with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the help of Plasmids to immobilize foes.

As the naღme suggests, this weapon shoots out high-powered Spears that can even skewer Splicers to walls and other objects across Rapture. An added ammunition type allows Subject Delta to lay traps, which can be extremely helpf꧋ul when having to fight off Splicers while a Little Sister is collecting Adam. And while this feature of the Spear Gun makes it a fun weapon to equip, its heaviness holds it back from being effective in harder and bigger fights.

5 ༺ ♛ The Launcher

The Launcher is the final weapon Subject Delta adds to their arsenal in BioShock 2 and is a heavy-hitting addition indeed. A pr꧃esent from Eleanor Lamb towards the end of the game in Dionysus Park, the Launcher’s added firepower is the exact thing needed to get through the rest of the game.

Purchasing the Splash Damage Immunity for this weapon is a must as it negates one of the Launcher's biggest shortcomings and prevents splash damage from hurting Subject Delta. In other words, it means you can unload grenades on Big Sisters when they’re right in front of you without worrying about risking your health in the process.

4 The Drill

Bioshock 2 Weapons Drill Cropped

Anyone who has played the first BioShock knows just how effective the Drill can be, given that protagonist Jack often found himself on the receiving end of this weapon during the original game. However, BioShock 2 gives you the chance to use 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:this powerful melee weapon yourself.

While it might not be as 🎃iconic or overpowered as the Wrench in the first BioShock, the Drill is a powerful and aggressive close combat weapon. It can have a variety of combat attacks that include an uppercut or a more conventional drill action that sees enemies essentially get 🐻torn apart. The drill does use up fuel when equipped, so it has its version of ammunition to manage and maintain.

3 ꧙ The Machine Gun

One of the perks of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:playing as a Big Daddy in BioShock 2 is that all the weapons are bigger and more destructive than ever. No weapon embodies this more than the Machine Gun featured in this game, which is simply a giant Gatling gun. In a city as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:creepy and terrifying as Rapture, a giant gun can go a long way in helping fend off the horrors hiding in t༺heꦦ shadows.

ꦯIts high rate of fire and large magazine size allows forꦉ heaps of damage to be dealt before the gun needs to be reloaded. In addition to the standard bullets, this gun also has Antipersonnel and Armor-piercing rounds at its disposal to inflict added damage to both unarmored and armored enemies.

2 🅰 The Shotgun

Bioshock 2 Weapons Shotgun Cropped

BioShock 2 features a very different Shotgun from its predecessor. Rather than the pꦇump-action style from the first game, the Shotgun featured in this title is a classic double-barrel shotgun. At least it is when you first acquire it.

Upgrading the Shotgun completely is one of the best decisions you can make in BioShock 2. It transforms the gun into a sawed-off gun that deals with six bullets per round that can then be upgraded to shoot an electric shock at enemies. While ammunition for this gun is scarce and expensive, using it during close-range combat encounter༺s and again heavy enemies is an effective tactic.

1 🔯 The Rivet Gun

While most of the other weapons in BioShock 2 mirror the ones featured in the first game, the Rivet Gun is a completelꦫy new and unique weapon. One that maintains its effectiveness and usefulness from the beginning of the game right through to tꦛhe very end.

While functioning as a single shot-based weapon, the Rivet Gun’s fast-paced s✃emi-automatic nature makes it a great weapon even when facing bigger groups. It has great range and very little recoil, making accuracy an easy thing even from longer distances. When upgraded it can deal strong damage and even set enemies on fire. With alternate ammunition allowing for even greater damage and trap deployment, the Rivet Gun proves itself as an extremely useful and under🌟rated weapon in the BioShock universe.
