Take out the optional Tiger's Ac🐈olyte boss in Black Myth: Wukong.
Shigandang is a secret boss, which you can face in Chapter 2. Unlocking and defeating this boss is worth it because you can get your hands on a new staff that will help you drastically on your journey ahead. Shigandang deals a lot of damage, butไ it has a major weakness that can be exploited to defeat it easily.
How To Find Shigandang
To fight Shigandang, you have to defeat Stone Vanguard and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:collect six Buddha Eyes scattered across Chapter 2. Once you’ve collected all six Buddha Eyes, you can head to the location where you fought the Stone Vanguard and deliver the eyes to the strange rock in the middle of the field.
You can spot that you’re near Buddha Eyes due to the uni꧙que mantra that plays when the Destined One is in the vicinity of this Key Item.
The closest shrine to the boss arena is the Rock Clash Platform shrine, but if you have yet to unlock it, you can also reach this area easily from the Rockrest Flat shrine in the Freight Cliff area.
Shigandang Attacks
Shigandang hits hard and has tons of HP. However, its attacks are slow and easy to dodge, making it much less of a threat compared to some other bosses that you may encounter in Chapter 2, such as the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tiger Vanguard, and the Yellow Wind Sage.

Description |
How To Avoid |
---|---|---|
Stomping Charge |
Shigandang charges in your direction, stomping the ground with its huge hands repeatedly. |
This attack can be avoided by dodging to the sides. The charge has a fairly short range but deals a ton of damage if you get caught by it. Y⛦ou can also sprint away꧅ from the boss when you see him charging. |
Body Slam |
The boss jumps into the air, slamming its entire body on the ground a💦s it lands. The landing will also create a sh♒ockwave with near-infinite AOE. |
If you dodge the initial Slam, you’ll also avoid getting hit by the shockwave. If you’re out of the slam’s range, then you’ll have to watch the shockwave and dodge it at the precise time. Avoiding this attac♔k leaves the boss open for you to deal some damage. |
Shoulder Slam |
If you’re circling around this boss, it will stand up and fall on its shoulder. The Shoulder Slam will also sprout a few spikes on the ground, which will travel to a little distance♎ ahead of 💫where the boss fell. |
If you dodge the initial slam, you won’t get hit by the spikes on the ground. Try to dodge to the sides only to avoid this attack. |
Side Sweep |
Shigandang will sweep its arm to one of its sides to attack you.💫 The boss will roar just as it's about to execute this attack. |
The attack is fairly easy to avoid by dodging. The boss raises one of its arms into mid-air as he sweeps it to t📖he side. It only uses this move when the player is either on one of his sides so you can see it coming. |
Explosive Stomp |
The boss will raise one of its legs and arms at once into the air. It will then bring down its arm and thrust it into the ground, releasing a shockwave. After a short delay, the ground will start to glow, and, as the boss pulls out its arm from the ground, the ground will explode. This attack has a huge AOE. The gi🅘ant rock on its back might rattle a little before the boss is about to execute this attack. |
You have to dodge just when the boss is about to hit the ground to avoid the shockwave, and then dodgꦜe again as it is about to pull its arm out. You’ll 💫be able to avoid the explosion by dodging even if your timing is slightly off. |
Stomp And Smash |
Shigandang will stand up, stomping the ground with one of its feet, and then smashing both of its hand🐎s on the ground, which will also unleash a shockwave. |
This attack is easy to recognize. The stomp can be avoided by dodging in any direction. If you manage to dodge the smash, you’ll automatically avoid the shockwave. If you’re at a distance, try to dodge exactly when the boss smashes the ground to avoid the shockwave. |
Two Punches |
If you’re right in its face, the boss might stand up and throw two punches on the ground. |
Dodge in any direction just as its fist is about to hit the ground to avoid this attack. |
Body Slam and Exploding Spikes |
This attack is similar to the regular Body Slam, but just as the boss lands, several spikes will pop out of the ground. Shigandang’s fist will start to glow, and right as it thrusts its fists into the ground, the spikes will explode. This attack doesn’t create any shockwaves. |
You have to dodge as the boss hits the ground. The spi𒁃ke will pop up at your pre-dodge position, and you can simply step away from the spikes to avoid the explosion. |
Smash And Pull Out |
Shigandang will stand up and smash the ground with both of its hands. As it pulls its arms out of the ground, a wave of stones will erupt from the ground in the direction the boss is currently facing. |
Both of these attacks can be easily avoided by dodging to the sides. |

How To Defeat Shigandang
To defeat Shigandang, the best strategy you can follow is to just stick to its back. Stay behind it, and you will shut down half of its attacks. You’ll still have to keep an eye open for thꦉe Body Slam, Side Sweep, and Shoulder Slam attacks, but most of the time, the boss will just keep t💟urning around to find you.
Avoid using the Rock Solid spell to parry S💧higandang’s attacks. The boss is made 🐬out of rocks itself, so the spell doesn’t have much effect, and you’ll simply get knocked out of the stone form.
You can use Immobilize to deal a lot of damage to the boss and charged heavy attacks can also be useful during the battle; you have to stay close to this boss because most of its attacks are a lot difficult to avoid at range. You should also avoid using the Pluck of Many spell as Shigandang has lo꧂ts of good AOE attacks and high defense, making🗹 it much more worthwhile to preserve your mana for either Immobilize or Cloud Step.
Rewards For Defeating Shigandang
Defeating this Yaoguai King boss rewards the player with Skandha of Feeling Key Item, the true purpose of which you’ll find out later in the game as you make progress. The Destined One also receives the Heart of Stone crafting material.
The Heart of Stone crafting material enables you to create the Cloud-Patterned Stone Staff, which is the best weapon that you can craft till Chapter 2. The staff increases your attack by 60 and your defense by 30, while also moderately increasing the damage of your charged heavy attacks from the Smash Stance.
