The trailer showed us a bunch of new areas and enemies from 𓆉the upcoming Journey to the West adaptation,🧸 which has been in development for quite some time now and has steadily become one of the most anticipated games in the Soulslike series. We also got a bunch of new gameplay footage, which continues to show how much promise the game has.
More importantly than that, though, we also got a release date for the game - August 20, 2024. That's still quite some time away, but we do at least know that, barring any delays, Black Myth: Wukong is coming next year. The last time we saw Black Myth at Gamescom, we weren't given a precise release window for it, so it's nice to see that it's made some progress in its development.
Black Myth: Wukong was a huge hit at Gamescom 2023, with lines so big♔ that you had to queue for most of the day to 🌱get to play it, an opportunity I didn't get.
As exciting as it is to see Black Myth: Wukong finally get a release date, . The studio's co-founder, Yang Qi, even once wrote a lengthy social media post saying that games for men and women differ due to their biological differences. No comment about the studio was made at The Game Awards, which perhaps isn't a surprise considering how it avoided any serious topics within the industry.
