How To Start The Treasure Hunter Quest
The Treasure Hunter quest can be triggered midway through Chapter Three, specifically after the Turtle event.
From the Bitter Lake - North Shore of the Bitter Lake Keeper's Shrine, head west along the coast to the are💃a where you initially found Chen Loong.
Here, you'll discover a torii gate leading to a temple. Proceed inside and you'll hear a character calling for help as a couple of enemies are attacking him.
Defeat these enemies, then speak to the character to start his quest.
How To Complete The Treasure Hunter Quest
Following your first encounter with the Treasure Hunter, continue through the area until you reach the Valley of Ecstasy - Forest of Felicity Keeper's Shrine. From this shrine, follow the path through the gate and you’ll find another torii gate ahead.
Instead of going through it, take the path down to the left side of the gate and continue until you reach another Keeper's Shrine called Towers of Karma.
Make sure you have the Ring of Fire spell equipped, as you’ll need it here.
Near this shrine, you’ll hear the Treasure Hunter calling out for fire. Cast the Ring of Fire near him to warm him up. While he’s inside the ring, interact with him and exhaust his dialogue before moving on to the final location.
After that, return to the Forest of Felicity Keeper's Shrine, and this time around, you need to follow the path down to the right side of the torii gate. Continue down until you reach a river.
At the end of the river, there’s a secret path formed by rocks leading down.༒ Descend from one rock to anꦓother to reach a hidden location.
Be prepared for a boss fight ahead so make sure to interact with the sh𝓰rine at the bottom a𓆉nd make sure you’re ready before progressing.
Inside the cave, you’ll face the Treasure Hunter, who turns out to be a deceiver. Defeat the so-called Green-Capped Martialist to conclude the quest and receive the powerful spell as your reward.
