The Yellow Wind Sage has a ton of different attacks at his disposal. He is quick, has powerful attacks at every range, and can be particularly sneaky. Some bosses featu𒉰re a gimmick that you can take advantage of; this one, unfortunately, does not. I'll tell you everything🧔 you need to know in order to beat this blowhard, but even with guidance, it is likely to be a tough fight.

Preparations For The Yellow Wind Sage

The big thing you'll want when fighting The Yellow Wind Sage is also one of the harder things to get: the Wind Tamer. This item will help you get a leg up during the final stretch of the fight. In order to get the Wind Tamer, you will need to complete the Kingdom Of Sahali questline. This isn't a necessary item, of course, so if you are in a r꧃ush, ♓you can skip all of that.

The Sahali quest will start with you bringing the Drunken Pig, who you'll meet in the Rockrest Flat region, a sobering stone. From there, you will progress through a gauntlet of bosses before you finally get the Wind Tamer. 🐽For more details, check out our complete walkthrough here.

Beyond that, have the and with you to help improve your attack and defense. And add the to your flask for a free use of the Rock Solid spell.

You'll find the in the treasure chest behind the Tiger Vanguard's Temp💛le.

Speaking of the devil, the Rock Solid spell can be used to effectively counter some of the Wind Sage's most powerful attacks. So, I'd recommend having that equipped. Finally, the pillar-stance is, once again, extremely uꦰseful to have. We'd recommend putting a few points into it.

Yellow Wind Sage's Attacks

At the beginning of the battle, you will primarily deal with a four-hit spear combo. The Yellow Wind Sage's spear is rangy, but almost all his spearꦇ swings will miss if you are close to h𝓀im. He will also send wind blades at you with his spear. These typically come three at a time, so get ready to dodge each one in succession.

The Yellow Wind Sage has a unique trait where he will cause a mass of spears to emerge from the ground. These almost always emerge as a straight line of spears or a small cluster. If you see a part of the Yellow Wind Sage glowing, then when that limb touches the ground, prepare to dodge, as spears will materialize. These ⛄are all the spear summoning attacks I encountꦅered...

  • If he stabs his glowing spear into the ground, the section of the ground he stabs will erupt in spears.
  • If he slams the entire pole into the ground, it will cause a line of spears to propel outward.
  • If he slams his foot down, he'll send a direct line of them at you (the same as when he slams his spear down).
  • When he runs at you with his first glowing glow, he is going to raise his fist and cause a line of spears to jut forward (the same as the stomp).
  • Finally, when he slams his glowing fist directly into the ground, the ground all around him is about to explode.

Watch out for the stomp. While a number of the Yellow Wind Sage's attacks are less effective when you are right next to them, they will occasionally use their stomp attack, which is pretty fast and if it lands will lead directly into a ton of damage. Thankfully, you can use the Rock Solid spell to counter this attack.

Black Myth Wukong. The Yellow Wind Sage's big kick attack.

The Yellow Wind Sage will dash in and out. Retreating into the sandstorm, before dashing back in to resume his attack. To further this approach, he has two attacks that will follow his run. One attack will see him charge forward with a glowing hand before lifting it and summoning multiple spears as he does so; the other is a giant kick that leads to a series of attacks that deal hefty damage. However, much like the stomp, you can counter these with the Rock Solid spell.

When it comes to the Yellow Wind Sage's attack where he charges forward with a glowing hand, we found the best method was to run at him and dodge into him when he starts r💟aising his hand to m꧟aterialize the spears.

Partway through the battle, the Yellow Wind Sage will toss the giant Buddha head it has been carrying into the air, and start using more evasive attacks. Now it will periodically disappear into the surrounding sandstorm before dashing out of it and trying to land a sneak attack. When the Yellow Wind Sage is made of sand, you won't be able to hurt him, so just focus on dodging these sneak attacks.

Black Myth Wukong. The Yellow Wind Sage dropping a giant statue on you.

Occasionally, the Yellow Wind Sage will raise a massive statue from the sand and bring it down on your head. Once he does this, just prepare to dodge the moment the statue is set to make contact with you (thankfully, it falls relatively slowly).

If you completed the Kingdom of Sahali questline, you may notice that this giant "statue" is, in fact, the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fossilized remains of Fuban. Neat!

Once the Yellow Wind Sage is♊ severely injured, he will start to summon a tornado. The tornado doesn't do a ton of damage,🌳 but it will interrupt your offense, and give the Yellow Wind Sage an opportunity to follow up and do more damage.

Attack

Attack Description

Counter

Standard Spear Combo

This 🐬is the Yellow Wind Sage's typical combo of spear attacks.

The spear attacks will largely miss you if you are up close to the Yellow Wind Sage. So, close t🦋he distance, and simply focus on dodging any vertical strikes that land directly in front of the sage.

Wing Blades

꧂The Yellow Wind Sage will send multiple blades of wind directly at you.

Dodging these projectiles isn't particularly hard, just preparꦆe to dodge multiple in quick su🌜ccession. Otherwise, you won't have to worry about this attack if you are close to the Yellow Wind Sage.

Exploding Ground Attacks

There🐈 are a bunch of these, but they all operate the same. The Ye🎃llow Wind Sage's spear, or one of his limbs, will glow. When whatever is glowing strikes the ground, stone spears will explode out of it.

Wait for the glowing limb/🉐spear to make contact with the ground and then dodge to the side. This tactic will beat every variation of this attack.

The Stomp Attack

The Sage will charge up a stomp, and then step on you with tremendous force. This attack leads to additional iཧnescapable damage.

Using Th♕e 𝔍Rock Solid spell will counter this attack and stagger the Yellow Wind Sage.

The Big Kick

The Sage will run forward and deliver a devastating kick. If this kick lands, you 𒅌will be hit by additional attacks mid-air.

Like with the Stomp Attack, the kick is best countere𝔍d with the Ro♌ck Solid spell.

Sneak Attack Sequence

The Yellow Wind Sage will star💙t doing this once they are down to about half-health. They will throw the Buddha head into the air, summon a sandstorm, retreat into the sand, and then pop out and slash💟 at you with their spear.

Just focus on dodging ෴the spear attacks, as the Yellow Wind Sage will be largely ൩invincible as they perform this sequence.

Statue Drop

This attack wಌill see the Yellow Wind Sage raise a giant statue into the air before dropping it o🃏n you.

The statue is massive, so I wouldn't recommend simply running o🌜ut of range. You will be better off just timing it and perfect dodging the statute the꧋ moment it is set to collide with your head.

Tornado Summon

The Yellow Win💝d Sage will summon a tornado which will slowly pursue you as you battle the sage.

Keep your distance, and dance around the tornado, and it will eventually ไdissipate.

How To Beat The Yellow Wind Sage

The first phase of the fight will start with the Yellow Wind Sage holding the massive Buddha head. Here you will want to stick as close to the sage as possible. Dodge their spear attacks, though if you are close enough, most of them will likely miss you. If the sage tries to stomp on you or kick you, use your Rock Solid spell to counter. As we've already mentioned, glowing limbs means that stone🦹 spears will erupt wherever that glowing limb strikes. So, when you see a part of the Yellow Wind Sage glow, prepare to dodge to the side.

The second phase will start with the Yellow Wind Sage summoning a sandstorm, and trying to sneak attack you by lunging out of the sand. He will be largely invincible here, so focus exclusively on dodging. You will want to dodge to the side as he leaps over you. Once he becomes vulnerable again, he will return to his old tricks, but he will be more aggressive. He'll also start summoning a mas🌃sive stone statue and dropping it on you. Just time its relatively slow descent and dodge it at the last moment.

Black Myth Wukong. Using the Wind Tamer against the Yellow Wind Sage.

Finally, the third phase will start with the Yellow Wind Sage summoning a tornado. Now, there are two ways to deal with this. You can just get distance from the tornado and wait it out. It will eventually dissipate. Or, if you have the , you can use it to interrupt him as he is summoning the tornado (when he sticks his staff into the ground), which will stop him from summoning it in the first place.

If you don't have the , and you don't want to go find it, worry not, it is nice, but it🤪 isn't necessary to beat the Yellow Wind Sage.

Rewards For Defeating The Yellow Wind Sage
