Xbox fans are pretty much used to being left out when it comes to console games, with developers increasingly more likely to stick to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation and sort out Xbox after the fact. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Stellar Blade, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Rise of the Ronin, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Silent Hill 2 were all third-party titles from 2024 that chose to skip Xbox, for one reason or another, but it was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Black Myth: Wukong's lack of an Xbox version that cause🔜d the biꦇggest stink.
We know that Black Myth: Wukong is coming to Xbox at some point, but the trouble is that the Xbox version of the game was indefinitely delayed, with many 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:assuming the weake🌼r Xbox Series S was the ca♚use. Developer Game Science never really confirmed that though, and there was rampant speculation that Black Myth: Wukong has a shady exclusivity deal with PlayStation, further pushed 168澳洲幸运5开奖ಌ网:by a dodgy statement from Microsoft🍰 itself.

B𒁏lack Myth: Wukong Was Never Going To♏ Win Game Of The Year
It's aꦿ good game, but it was never quite good enough to go toe-to-toe with🍌 the heavier hitters this year.
Over four months since the game's release on PlayStation and PC, it now appears as t♎hough we finally have an official answer for Black Myth: Wukong's Xbox delay, as director Feng Ji - who also goes by Yocar - has just straight up blamed the Series S .
Black Myth: Wukong Director Blames Series S Memory For Xbox Delay
Yocar's post on Weibo was in response to Black Myth: Wukong's impressive performance during this year's Steam Awards - which has once again proven rather controversial - as the game managed to pick up three in total, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:along with Game of the Year. According to a translation by a ResetEra user, Yocar explains t🃏hat he "felt a little emotional" after seeing the awards the game nabbed, and that the only thing that would have made 2024 perfect is the release of the X🌱box version.
Yocar goes on to state that the "10G shared memory" that is used by the Xbox Series S made releasing the game on the system impossible "without a few years of optimization experience". That pretty much rules out all the talk about back-handed PlayStation deals, and confirms what many already believed, being t🧜hat the Series S is once again causing major headaches for a developer.
Game Science isn't the only developer that has had problems with the Series S. Dune Awakening developer Funcom claimed that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:working with thꦅe system is "a challenge", while a former Naughty Dog and Rocksteady developer straig⛄ht up just wished the conso🌄le "never existed". Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian even 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:had to drop split screen to get it 𝐆on the syste🍌m, so it's not like G🐼ame Science is alone when it comes to headaches over the Series S.
