This week's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Blair Witch is proving to be a chilling, engaging horror game from the makers of Layers of Fear and Observer. However, some PC fans are running into an issue relating to the game's support of ultrawide resolutions (21:9 and 32:9.)
Specifically: the game doesn't seem to actually support the resolutions, despite them being explicitly referenced in the game's settings. As it turns out, the game is pillarboxed, meaning that there are bars superimposed over the outer borders of the screen - preventing fans with ultrawide displays from getting the most of their monitors.
Luckily, the modding community has stepped in with a quick fix that'll help frustrated players in a few easy steps. , you can clearly see a player enjoying the game at a 21:9 resolution.
Pretty neat, huh?
To fix your copy ofไ the game and started gettingℱ spooked in the immersive resolution, all you have to do is follow these steps!
1) Download The Patcher
Modder Rose has been kind enough to put together a quick executable, available on the PC Gaming Wiki. Just head over there and Enter the password "pcgw"♔꧋; to unlock the folder.
2) Unzip The EXE File
Using a program like 7Zip, just extract the executable file anywhere you'd like on your computer.
3) Apply The Patch
Next, you're going to want to run the executable. Windows Defender will detect it as a threat, considering it's a third-party app. Don't worry! I've tested this out on my PC, and there aren't any nasty bits of malware or bitcoin miners in sight.
Once you're running the executable, target the file you're going to be patching. In this instance, you'll want to find your Blair Witch folder. For Steam users, that directory will be in your steamapps folder. Inside the game's folder, you'll want to target \Blairwitch\Binaries\Win64\Blairwitch-Win64-Shipping.exe or Blairwitch-Win64-Shipping-Win7.exe.
When you've found the file, just apply the patch as prompted in the executable.
4) Enjoy!
After testing this patch out for myself, I can confirm it defiﷺni🎃tely works!
What once looked like this:
Now takes up the entirety of my BenQ EX3501R!
I only wish I'd known about this sooner!
Regardless, this fix is amazing, and a must-have for anybody looking to descend into madness in the highly immersive resolution. Bloober Team has stated they'll issue their own fix in the future, but for now, this is the way to go.
Our full review of Blair Witch will be out this weekend.
