Blizzard is apparently making mobile games for a🍒ll of their IPs and has many of their “𝔉best developers” working on them.

Fans angry at Blizzard’s recent Diablo mobile game announcement at BlizzCon are about to get a whole long angrier. According to Blizzard’s executive producer Allen Adham, the company isn’t stopping at just Diablo Immortal--they’re making a w💖hole bunch of mo🐻bile games across all their franchises.

During a press conference at BlizzCon, Adham was asked about Diablo Immortal’s🐷 development and whether or not the game was being spearheaded independent of Blizzard’s input.

"In terms of Blizzard's approach to mobile gaming, many of us over the last few years have shifted from playing primarily desktop to playing many hours on mobile, and we have many of our best developers now working on new mobile titles across all of 💝ourꦡ IPs,” .

"Some of them are with external partners, like Diablo Immortal; many of them are being developed internally only, and we'll have information to share on those in💯 the future,” he continued. “I will say also that we have more new products in development today at Blizzard than we've ever 💝had in our history and our future is very bright."

Adham’s response confirms something that we’ve sort of known all along, but chose to overlook: Blizzard is no longer just a PC and console game maker. We knew this when they came out with Hearthstone, which also generated a lot of pushback from their fans but game🍸rs eventually grew to accept the strange mobile card game as just something that Blizzard wanted to do.

Now it seems that Blizzard is going all-in on mobile gaming, and fans are deeply concerned about what this wi♋ll mean f𓃲or PC and consoles.

While the debate continues on the Diablo subreddit as to whether or not Blizzard will remain a driving force in PC and console gami🌳ng, a petition created to demand Diablo Immortal’s cancellation has exceeded 37,000 signatures. It seems unlikely to stop the game’s development when there are untold millions to be made in mobile gaming, but it does quantify the Diablo community’s rage.
