Blizz🐻Con 2020 is definitely not happening, but we’ll get a digital B༺lizzCon in early 2021 to make up for it.
BlizzCon 2020 is canceled. No, we don’t mean that in the hip new way where things that are toxic to society are being removed so that we can all move forward as a species, but in the more traditional sense of the word. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:As in it’s just not happening. It’s not even going to be replaced by a livestream like everyone else is doing.
But we will get a brand new BlizzCon to replace the canceled one in early 2021. This news comes from last night’s earnings call where Activision 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:announced the new Call of Duty game and how much money Call of Duty Mobile and Warzone are making them (hint: it’s a lot). Then after they blew the Call of Duty horn to death, Blizzard president J. Allen Brack came on the line to di🌜scuss what they’ve got to bring to the table.
Turns out, not a whole lot.
“We did announce that we will not be bringing the community together this fall, but we are planning on channeling the spirit of BlizzCon into a virtual event in the early part of next year,” said Brack. “We’re really fortunate to have a passionate and engaged community that’s really looking forward to what we’re creating and ♔what we’re working on.”
No details were revealed and certainly no games were discussed for whatever Blizzard has planned for BlizzCon🎃 2021. At least it's reported to be coming in early 2021 and not 🔥later in the fall like normal.
A digital-only BlizzCon is hardly surprising, given the state of the ongoing pandemic in the United States, but it bears noting the timing. Blizzard has plenty of time before November to cobble together a 40-minute digital event, but they decided to punt to early 2021 instead. Does this mean they really 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:don’t have enough to show, or are they just hoping that what they do have in 2021 is enough to follow up to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:2019's Overwatch 2 announcement?
