Last week, PlayStation put on its first State of Play showcase of the year, giving us a better look at a handful of games coming out in the next 12 months. One of these titles was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Silent Hill 2 Remake, and while it was nice to get some gameplay footage for the first time, a lot of fans of the original game descended upon the trailer to cri🍸ticize its heavy use of combat, something which isn't particularly associated with the Silent Hill series.
It was a divisive trailer, with some claiming it as proof 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bloober Team didn't understand the source material, while others argued the developer was simply showing off the aspect of the original Silent Hill 2 that needed improving the most. Surprisingly enough, it seems as though Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno agrees with the former group of fans, as even he wasn't particularly thrilled about the footage that was shown off during the show.

Silent Hill 2 Was Never💃 ꦏMeant To Have Good Combat

In an interview with Inwestorzy.TV (thanks ) that seems to have been made private, Babieno said that he understands where all the criticism is coming from regarding Silent Hill 2 Remake's recent trailer and that it didn't "reflect the spirit of the game". He goes on to explain that Bloober Team isn't in charge of the marketing of Silent Hill 2 Remake and that publisher Konami is "entirely responsible", implying it was Konami which edited and submitted the trailer to be sho♛wn off by PlayStation.
This trailer certainly does not reflect the spirit of t𓄧he game. This is neither the spirit of what once was nor the spirit of what we are creating nowꦇ.
To try and reassure fans that may be worried about the state of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Babieno thinks that when players actually see real gameplay and "a real game", they'll change their mind and come around the Bloober Team's vision. Those remarks are particularly interesting, as it was rumored after the trailer went live that the footage shown off was .
It's no secret that Bloober Team has been frustrated with Konami with regard to showing off what it's been working. Back in November last year, Bloober Team responded to a fan on Twitter curious about progress on the game, saying that Konami was in charge of all communications and that it's "part of their job". Fast-forward a few months, and it seems like Konami is still calling the shots when it comes to marketing Silent Hill 2 Remake, even though Bloober Team itself probably wishes it wasn't.
