Lilith Walther, creator of the renowned Bloodborne PSX demake, celebrated by announcing something completely out of left field: a Bloo♓dborne PSX kart racer.
Perhaps it’s not that surprising, given the number of kart racers from the PS1 era. There was Chocobo Racing,𒁏 Crash Team, and pretty much every kids show had its own racer, including Loony Tunes, Disney, Nickelodeon, The Muppets, and even Woody Woodpecker. If Bloodborne had been around back in the PS1 days, andඣ it had been as successful as it was on the PS4, it probably would have received a kart racer too.
Walther announced Bloodborne Kart with a teaser video that ended on an Akira reference, as all good teasers should. The Hunter makes his way down a well-lit path, dons his goggles, and arrives at a parked motorcycle. Cue the announcer (as played 🧸by ) and the absolutely adorable title theme (created by ).
"Funny thing about me voicing this is that Lilith actually didn't hire me as a voice actor,” noted @GetGianni soon after Bloodborne Kart’s big reveal. “I was just yelling this normally, as I usually do when the moon is up, and she just had me turn my mic on.”
For those of you who haven’t played it yet, Bloodborne PSX is a PS1-era demake of the original Bloodborne. It’s played in 4:3 aspect ratio, has a CRT screen filter (that can be turned off if you really hate it), and every chaꦕracter and texture has been reduced to the barest number of sprites and/or polygons.
While the graphics are most certainly not as good as the original, Bloodborne PSX’s gameplay remains as Souls-y as ever. The game is available for free on Itch.io, and achieved 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:over 100,000 downloads in its fir🌸st day strictly through social media posts and word of mo🌌uth.
