Bloodborne Has Been Played From Start T👍o Finish On PC
Blood🐓borne's long-aw✤aited debut on PC is almost here.
Among the things fans can agree on is that Bloodborne is as fraught wiꦯth tragedy as it is with horror, featuring characters with tragic backstories, fates, and consequences for the things they've done.
15 Gilbert
Made Peace with Death, Prayed to Die Human
The Hunter meets Gilbert early in the game. As the night of the Hunt begins and the Hunter fღinds themselves in Central Yharnam, Gilbert can be found at his window just behind the C🍃entral Yharnam lamp. This character helps the Hunter throughout their search for Paleblood.
While he agrees Yharnam's people have ꦛgrown paranoid and hostile to outsiders, like the Hunter and himself, he asserts Yharnam's blood ministration gave him a chance at a longer life and dying 💟human.
Throughout the game, Gilbert can be heard coughing uncontrollabl🎐y, his health declining, his prayers to the Great Ones becoming more hopeless. Gilbert's last hope of dying human ultimately d⭕ies with his humanity, as he transforms into a Beast Patient, attacking the Hunter without hesitation.
14 ♕ Father꧑ Gascoigne
What Sickness Does to People
Father Gascoigne is the first mandatory boss the൩ player encounters. Gascoigne was a dedicated hunter, but faces his own inevitable transformation into a beast, driven insane by blood and by the urge to kill any sign of the Scourge. But there's a much more tragic💖 story around this character than first meets the eye.

Bloodborne: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Father Gascoigne
Father Gascoigne is the first boss you have to f🧸ight in Bloodborne, and there's so much many don't know.
If the Hunter speaks to the girl above t⭕he aqueducts and accepts to find her mother, who'd gone to find the girl's hunter father, ꦑthey receive a music box which plays her father's favorite song. Additionally, the Hunter is told the mother wears a "red-jeweled brooch".
During Gascoigne's transformed ꦐphase, the Hunter can play the music box, temporarily making Gascoigne bow his head in despair. Upon defeating him, the Hunter can discover a red-jewled brooch on a woman's body nearby, which they can choose to give to the girl, Gascoigne's daughter, revealing the former hunter unknowingly mu༺rdered his wife and left his daughter alone.
Th🧸e music box song also happens to be Mergo's Lullaby
13 🍎 Bloody Ribbon, White Ribbon
Inevitable Death of a Family
Along the same questline, whether the Hunter gave the girl the brooch or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:sent her to Oedon Chapel, the girl runs away. At this point, if the Hunter kills the Maneater Boar in the aqueducts, it drops a bloody ribbon. It's implied that--regardless what choice the Hunter made--the gi♔rl became lost in the aqueducts and was eaten by the pig, frightened and grieving for her parents.
After killing Rom and triggering the Paleblood Moon, however, another girl appears in the Gascoignes' house, saying her sister is misꦛsing. The Hunter can then choose to give this girl the Bloody Ribbon, which she will wash and marvel at. This is likely because of the delirium caused by the Paleblood Moon.
Soon after, the H💝unter can find a girl's body on the pavement below the house, from which they can take a white ribbon. It's unknown why the girl takes her life, but this event confirms the Gascoigne family's death.
Both ribbons can be worn by ꦆthe Messengers, but giving the bloody ribbon away removes it from your inventory.
12 The Beastsꦜ Of Old Yharnam ﷽
"They're not beasts....they're people."
When the Scourge of beasts exceeded the Healing Church's control, those still human and the members of the church escaped the town that🐻 would become Old Yharnam, killing patients that had fallen to beasthood, burning the town behind them as they locked survivors beneath them to burn alive.
When the Hunter first enters the abandoned town, they encounter Beast Patient enemies, and Djura with his hunting partner, who vowed to protect the beasts of Old Yharnam. They will kill the Hunter on sight. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:꧑If the player chooses to befriend Djura, they receive his dialogue: "In case you fail to realize, the things you hunt, they♏'re not beasts...they're people."
Djura reminds the Hunter every beast was, however long ago, human. Beastho🔥od never changes that fact. Many players have discovered, moreover, that holding a torch to the Beast Patients causes them to step back instea🉐d of attack, signifying they remember Old Yharnam burning, and are consequentially afraid of fire.
11 Blood-Starved Beast ♑
True Desperation
Blood-Starved Beast is probablꦰy one of the most pitiful bosses the Hunter can encounter. They're a large, skeletal, werewolf-like enemy that spurts poisonous blood from their body, and whose flayed skin hangs down from their back.
It us෴ed to be a mystery exactly why the beast was "blood-starved". But that hidden files describe this beast as having desperately ripped its own skin open to taste the blood, with no humans to feed on and unable t🧜o receive anymore blood.
The Blood-Starved Beast has essentially bee꧂n starving to death since the burning of Old Yharnam, because the Healing Church chose to commodify Old Blood. A reminder of how much blood is on the Church's hands.

9 Iosefka's Death
A Caring Doctor Turned Into a Science Experiment
Iosefka runs the clinic that the Hunter starts the game in. Though her interaction with her is minimal, her concern for her patients is clear, and she gives the Hunter a special blood vial as a gesture of gratitude and good will. 🔯Iosefka's only intention is to be a good doctor. The character meets an a✅brupt death, however, when an impostor takes her place, likely a member of the Healing Church Choir.
This impostor tells the Hunter to send people to the clinic for safety. But if the player enters the clinic from behind, they will find a Celestial Emissary for every person they chose to send to the clinic instead of O🔥edon Chapel, with an inanimate one still having a human hand and one dropping another blood vial from Iosefka.
This suggests the impostor, who can be killed, was turning people into Em🌠issaries; seemingly a gruesome process. Iosefka's painful and unjustifiable death is oꩲne of the most upsetting NPC deaths in the game.
8 ⛄ The Chapel Dweller
Literally Just A Good Guy
In a hostile world, where everyone seems to have an agenda of their own or an instinct to kill, you wou𒆙ldn't expect to find someone just trying to be nice. But that's exactly what Hunters find in Chapel Dweller: a true altruist.
Scary-looking at first, all the Chapel Dweller wants is to know there are still people alive, how he can help keep them safe, and if anyone wants to be his friend. If an NPC you direct to Oedon Chapel is killed, Chapel Dweller mourns their death. Players can also (heartlessly) kill Chapel Dweller for a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Formless Oedon Caryll Rune. Upon his death, he cries th🌠at he on💮ly wanted to be friends.
7 The Vileblood Executions 🐼
It's Actually Genocide
The Executioners, allies to the Healing Church, spun a story about how a Byrgenwerth Scholar smuggled Old Blood to Cainhurst, where people customarily drank blood, creating the first Vileblood. ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚWhen Executioner leader Martyr Logarius sealed away Vileblood Queen Annalise, his followers believed him imprisoned by the Castle, making Vilebloods tཧheir arch enemies.
In reality, multiple implications from armor designs and weapon descriptions link the Vilebloods to Pthumerian ඣorigins, who, like modern Yharnamites, have faced their own struggle with the Scourge.
This would mean Vilebloods aren't blood-drunk barbarians, but simply Pthumerian descendants using blood without Church regulations. Furthermore꧙, the Blood Dreg descriptions reveal Ann🌌alise, who likely imbibed Old Blood, is consequentially immortal, and trying to become a surrogate for a Great One infant, a "Child of Blood". Those who drink her blood might experience some measure of its power.
These are possibly the true reasons Logarius sealed her away, anꦐd it makes the Vileblood executions not acts of righteouౠsness, but of genocide against Pthumerian descendants.
6 The Doll And Lady Maria 🍌 💜
Tragic Creation Of An Obsession
Hunters know the Doll as the NPC who levels you up, while they may know Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower as an Old Hunters DLC boss, who is trapped in the Hunters' Night💜mare wi𝔉th her guilt for participating in the defilement of Kos's body and the Church's experiments and exterminations, attempting to ease the pain of the Research Hall Patients. But the two are connected.
