Entertainment of all kinds has adaptations of stories from one medium to another, all adapting the original version with varying degrees of success. Some go on to surpass the original version, taking the opportunity to r💛efine what was already there, while others never quite capture the magic that made the original what it was.

Video games naturally help you to lean into the world and the stories inside of them, since you're actively experienciꦓng it for yourself. Going on this journey with Roland, Jake, Eddie, and Susannah could be an exhilarating, heartbreaking, and fantastic adventure.

John Constantine has become one of the ♉most cult-popular characters in comics for a long time now, and he's seen more than one adaptation on the screen, all succeeding in one way or another in capturing John's 🥂magic. And while he's been included in more than one video game, he's never been the titular character of any, and that's a shame.

Ideally, that will change. John is a complex character, and the world he inhabits is a darker version of our own. Oftentimes, the scariest things in John's world ꦉare reflections of the scariest things in ours, and it's what makes them so horrifying. A game led by such a strong character, one who can 🐽make so many different choices and still seem in step with what John would do, would lend itself well to giving the player some agency in the story.

The game itself wouldn't have to take place entirely in the actual battle royale portion of the story, especially the longer the story goes. But a single-player battle royale in this situation could make for an extremely memorable, cinematic, and difficult interpretation of a battle royale. The Hunger Games has a lot to say about people and about society, and actually having the player live in that world for a while could make that story sing. 🌊(Pun intended.)

Seeing thಌe art style of Bone translated into a game would be 𒊎worth the price of admission alone, with Jeff Smith's art in the series becoming instantly iconic. But aside from that, it could be adapted in a ton of different ways, from an open-world adventure like Breath Of The Wild to a slightly more on-rails adventure like Dragon Quest. Either way, seeing this world in motion and actually interacting with these characters would be a surefire success.

2 A Chorus Of Drag🧔ons

A Chorus Of Dragons is a fantasy series that seems like it might play bꦯy the same rules as many before it, only to take those rules and set them on fire. Equal parts familiar and inventive, it takes the familiar things and surprises you with them, making them add as much to the world and to the story, and the things that feel wholly new.

A Chorus Of Dragons could work in a number of different ways, but what could be a great adaptation of it would be the most faithful: a The Last Of Us style narrative adve🌳nture, experiencing everything in the order that the original stꦿory chose to tell it. The initial installment, The Ruin Of Kings, is told in such an interesting and out-of-order way that telling the story in the game the same way could make for something really unique.

When the problems we have here on Earth expand, and we've got them across a solar system and space, when🎶 drastic solutions start looking like the only solutions, how do weꦺ stay who we are?

The Expanse has seen one video game adaptation with Telltale, and while that game has some well-deserved 🙈praise, there could be so much more done in that world. A𒐪 space-faring RPG in that world tied to different characters and situations than the books could be fantastic, making for a character-centric story that has grand stakes for those involved but not for the system at large could work perfectly. That said, a straight adaptation of the books where you play as the crew of the Roci could be a great time, too.
