Borderlands 3 will be adding a brand-new game mode – Arms Race – on November 10 asꦡ part of the Designer's Cut DLC pack. The roguelike experience will strip you of all your gear, skills, and passive abilities, before dropping you on an island as you race against theꦕ clock to survive.
Arms Race plays out like a reality show, and it's hosted by two returning favorites – ꧟Axton and Salvador from Borderlands 2. The action is "fast paced, challenging, and consistently remixed by randomized elements." It all takes place in the Stormblind Complex, an old DAHL military base located in a previously undiscovered corner of Pandora.
Since you're dropped into the island with nothing in your 🐠inventory, you'll need to scramble around to collect as much gear as you can before heading towards the extraction point. It's a race against the clock, however, as a rapidly approaching storm will send you to an early grave if you're not able to outrun it. The most powerful weapons are locked behind Arms Race's final boss – Heavyweight Harker – a enemy who is just as likely to kill you as the ever-shrinking storm.
The new game mode was shown off during today's episode of The Borderlands Show. But that wasn't all that was revealed – we also got a glimpse of the Multiverse Final Form cosmetic packs. Unlike previous cosmetics, these completely change the character models for all four Vault Hunters. , "The Final ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚForms depict how each character might've turned out in an alternate universe where they never became a Vault Hunter." The cosmetics are also compatible📖 with other Bodies, Heads, and pre-existing skins, giving you a brand-new way to customize your character.
All this ﷽content comes included in the Designer's Cut add-on pack. If you picked up the Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, you'll be able to download everything above for free when it launches on November 10. Or, you can grab the upcoming Borderlands 3 Next-Level Edition for consoles, which includes the base game and Final Form cosmetics.
Borderlands 3 is also getting a free next-gen update for current-gen owners. It'll be available on launch day for both PS5 and Xbox Serieওs X/S.
