The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Borderlands series has made a name for itself with its plethora of guns and crude humor. But if that was all that it had, it wouldn't have near as many fans as it does. The gameplay is fun, and the writing can b💞e amazing (though inconsistent at times). But one of the best things to come out of Borderlands was its villain from the second game.
In fact, Handsome Jack is arguably one of the best video game villains to have ever been made. From his self-obsessed attitude to his looks, everything about him makes you hateꦇ him, and helps motivate you to stop him at all costs. But just in case that isn't enough, here are the ten worst things he's ever done.
10 Killed Animal༺s 💧
For th꧅e first of his many despicable acts, he kills and experiments upon animals. Pandora's animals aren't exactly cute puppy dogs🧸 by any stretch of the imagination, but Jack takes them in and makes them worse than they are. Furthermore, Jack makes things personal with two characters in particular.
The first is towards Brick. Jack, though not personally, is still responsible for killing one of Brick's dogs, Dusty. The second much more personal and meaningful is what Jack does to Mordecai's bird, Bloodwing. He experiments upon her and forces her to attack the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Vault Hunters. When they subdue her, he activates a bomb planted in her neck collar🧸, killing her in front of them.
9 💧 Tyrannized Ove🌳rlook
The town of Overlook is not a happy one. Not only do all the townsfolk suffer from something called the skull-shivers, but they're left unprotected💯 against everything on Pandora. To begin, Handsome Jack and Hyperion had extensive drilling done in the ar𓆏ea which seems to be why the townsfolk have the skull-shivers.
Karima, the towns current administrator, had her husband and the town's previous administrator thrown into the grinder by Hyperion agents. Overlook is also attacked by Hyperion while the Vault Hunter is there tryꦿing to deploy a lunar supply beacon. Needless to say Overlook is a miserable place, until the playerও helps them out at least.
8 Tortured Tannis ꧅
A very eccentric and odd character, Patricia Tannis, is the leading expert on all things Eridium and Vault related. Knowing this, Jack captures her and tortures her, though in very strange ways. By this point i🦩n time Tannis had become a little insane and become emotionally attached ♛to two ceiling chairs, giving them names and personalities.
Jack takes advantage of this by slowly destroying the chairs and therefore torturing Tannis. As comedic as thi♈s is, it also further pushes Tannis over the edge. It's practically doubtless many others have been tortured by Jack, though likely with more conventional means.
7 🧔 🅷 Spreads Propaganda
This one might seem innocuous at first, but because of who he is, it instead becomes an insidious poison. Right from the start, Jack takes credit for killing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Destroyer even though it was the original four Vault Hunters🔯 who really did it. This allows him access to a lot of potential fame and wealth.
Throughout the second game you can see and hear various examples oܫf this scattered throughout the world. Most notably in the city of Opportunity, where he has erected statues of himself all around. He has even flat out lied to all of his citizens through echo devices.
6 🎉 ♔ Kills Helena Pierce (& More)
This one might seem a little unremarkable because of how horrible a place Pandora is, but Jack takes it to another level. Right from the start of Borderlands 2, a particularly notable character from the first game is killed. The player doesn't witness this killing but does hear it over echo log. Helena Pierce is ruthlessly murdered by Jack while attempting to lead a bunch of peo🌠ple to Sanctuary.
And it's not just Helena either, all of the train's passengers are murdered. Another much more personal killing is, spoiler warning, one of the original Vault Hunters. The leader of Crimson Raiders, Rol𒊎and, is shot right in front of the player. This is no epic battle either, Jack cloaks and sneaks up behind Roland before shooting him right through the chest.
5 𝔉 Kills Tiny Tina's Parents
Regardless of how you feel about Tiny Tina, losing your parents is one of the most raw deals a kid could get. And Jack's largely to blame in this case. 🐻She and her parents were bartered off to Hyperion.
Subjected to Jack🉐's experiments, Tiny Tina's parents were killed. There's an equal blame to cast towards the person who sold them off, of course, but it's pretty safe to chalk this one up to Jack in the end.
4 Multiple Betrayals ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ
Veering slightly away from the more direct murders, another terrible thing Jack has done multiple times is betrayal. One of the most clear incidents of this is in the Pre-Sequel. At a certain part in the story you find yourself in the need of some brainy help, in comes Gladstone. Gladstone was a Hyperion technician before Jack became president. He helps Jack and the p𒉰layer gain access to a very special robot known as a Constructor.
In order to do this you also rescue his colleagues. However, Gladstone mistakenly mentions that there might be someone acting as a Mole for Zarpedon around. Jack decides to put Gladstone and his ꧃colleagues into an airlock, then jettison them out of it and into space. And that's just one example. There have been many other people betrayed by ꧋Jack.
3 𒐪 Erases Felicity
Speaking of which, in the Pre-Sequel you meet an A.I. who calls herself Felicity. Felicity is extremely helpful towards the player and Jack, keeping them out of danger and generally guiding them where they need to go. One such pl🎉ace is the area that houses the first Constructor robot.
Jack decides that this thing needs an A.I, and that Felicity is the perfect fit. She begs him not to, saying that he can instead just copy her personality into instead. This would take a couᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚple days but allow her to be free. Jack says no, and so she takes control of it and attacks the player. When you defeat her, her personality is destroyed forever and she becomes the Constructor's A.I.
2 Treats His Owꦿn People As Disposable
Handsome Jack treats everyone around him as if they were disposable, no matter how close of an ally they are. Wilhelm, his trusty Enforcer, is simply a tool in his hands. He deliberately poisons and sabotages him so that the Vault Hunter can defeat him. 💫All so he can sabotage Sanctuary's shields.
Before he went too mass-murdery, he destroyed Moxxi's Underdome because he thought she was cheating on him. When Angel's mother wanted Jack to stop ꧑using Angel for his own purposes, she disappeared. Whe🅷n an employee mentioned Jack's previous wife, he killed that Employee. There's a pattern here.
1 Enslaved His Own Daughter 🌳
One of the most despicable things he ever did was to enslave his own daughter,🤡 Angel. He says that he did it to control her power, indirectly implying that she caused her birth mother to disappear. However, that may not even be true, and it doesn't excuse anything. Right from ൩the start, when he saw that , he began using her for his purposes.
He trapped her in Control Core Angel꧑ so that he could control Pandor's ECHOnet, this was when she was still a child. This also allowed him to watch over all of Pandora. Finally, he hooked her up to a terrible machine that pumped Eridium into her body constantly, all so that she could charge the Vault key faster.
