Broken Sword: Reforged Inter🍎view - How Bringing The Game To Fans Has Changed Since The ‘90s
At Gamescom, we spoke with Revolution Software's Charles Cecil about B✅roken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged.
We're tackling this walkthrough by just explaining the core instructions you need to progress, but we do recommend stopping to take the time to explore other items and conversations to see some of the extra information and comedy thꩵe game has to offer.
Back In Paris
After uncovering the latest clue in Ireland, you'll find yourself automatically back in Nico's apartment telling her all you know. End the conversation with her and head to the map, from there, go to the Poste de police.
Speak with Sergeant Moue and ask him about Marquet (the old man who was meant to receive the gem). Speak to him about Marquet again to learn about the hospital he has been taken to.
Return to the map and choose the Hôpital as your next destination.
Hospital
Once you arrive at the hospital, head inside and speak with the receptionist at the desk.
Show her Moerlin's electrician pass card and she'll tell you where to find Marquet. After that, speak to her about Nurse Grendel until she gives you directions to Ward J2.
Next, head down the hallway on the left of the reception desk.
Walk past the guy waxing the floor and unplug the power cord from the left side of the statue.
As the old man goes to plug it back in, click on the door next to the polishing machine to bag yourself a doctor's jacket.
Exit on the top left of the screen, down the hallway opposite the power cord, to find yourself in Ward J2. Nurse Grendel will greet you and give you the blood pressure gauge. You'll immediately have to talk to a patient but simply end that conversation.
Marquet's room is to the bottom right of the screen. Try to head that way, but the nearest patient will stop you and ask you to take his blo🐻od pressure. Unfortunate💃ly, George doesn't do it right.
Return to the hospital entrance near the receptionist (it's the top right exit from where the floor waxer is) and speak to Felix Hagenmeyer, the older doctor standing there, and he'll ask you to allow his🌼 nephew to a𓄧ccompany you.
End the conversation and return to the room where you tried to take the patient's blood pressure with the nephew, Be🤡noir, in tow. Nurse Grendel ♔will direct you back to the same patient.
End the conversation and then give Benoir the blood pressure gauge from within your inventory. Next, speak to Benoir and select the gauge and direct him to use it on Eric, the patient who keeps stopping you.
Now you're free to walk to the right of the screen towards Marquet's room and through the door. Speak with Marquet until a doctor comes in and interrupts you.
After a short cutscene, you'll be back in Nico's apartment. End the conversation with her and return to the map, as we want to head to the Musée Crune next.
Musée Crune
Head inside the museum and after you've ended the conversation with the security guard, you want to speak to the blonde man at the back. This is André Lobine﷽au, the man Nico ꦫwas on about.
Choose to speak with him about Montfauçon, the image of the hanged man,💛 until the icon disappears, then end the convers♑ation.
Use the handle to the left of the cases to open the window, then as the security guard goes to close it, head to the sarcophagus at the back and hide inside.
Once you gain control again, interact with the totem pole to push it on Flap and Guido. Afterwards, you'll be back in Nico's apartment, so end the conversation and head back to the map. This time, we're going to Montfauçon!
Montfauçon
In Montfauçon, go and speak to the juggler, or jongleur as he prefers, and keep asking him about himself until he lets you try (and fail spectacularly) at juggling.
Afterwards, end the conversation and go and speak to the policeman sitting at the table. Show him the clown nose, then end the conversation.
Go back to the juggler and ask to juggle again (by choosing the icon of the juggler). This time, you'll wear the red nose and the crowd finds it hilarious, making the juggler leave in a strop and the policeman le𝓡ave also.
Now you can use your sewer key on the manhole cover the juggler was standing on (the tourists apparently don't care) and head down into the sewer.
In the sewers, cross the bridge to the other side and use the sewer key on the leftmost stone panel.
Interact with the mechanism throug༒h the broken panel a couple of times to make the panel move slightly.
Use the wheel handle on the boat to unwind the chain, then grab the hook and chain and attach it to the mechanism. Return to the wheel handle on the boat and interact with it to rip down the rest of the panel.
Head through the archway and then look at the light coming from the gap at the back of the cave, not down the stairs.
Do not f🧸ollo𝄹w the steps down unless you want to meet an untimely end.
After the cutscene, peak through the gap again. Now, it's safe to head down the stairs.
Use the tripod on the pedestal, then place the gem on top of that.
You'll automatically return to Nico's apartment afterward, so end the conversation and then head to the Aéroport and choose Syria as your next destination.
