Bungie just held a livestream event where they mapped out not just what content would come to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Destiny 2 starting today and heading into fall,༒ but also the next three years.

Today was the day. Bungie announced 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Season of Arrivals along with the upcoming expansion, Beyond Light, set to arrive on September 22nd. Destiny 2 Game Director Luke Smith 🐼and General Manager Mark Noseworthy dropped a lot of stuff on us today, and we’re here to help you sort through all of it.

Let’s get this party started.

Season of Arrivals

The new season that starts today is called Season of Arrivals. It will focus on Io where a new Pyramid ship has arrived to start doing who knows what. Messages of Darkness will taunt Guardians to uncover hidden secrets about the originals of Light and Dark. There's a new Public Event to engage in underneath the Pyramid that has "summoned the enemies of humanity." If it's anything like the Moon, then it's likely to be😼 defeated foes that you can surely defeat again.

Rewards are also getting a bit of an overhaul. Players can Focus engrams in Season of Arrivals to choose their rewards, including past seasonal exotics that until now were no longer av♕ailable.

As usual, there's a new Season Pass and Seasonal ornament called the Seed of Silver Wings. Season Pass ornaments will 𒈔instantly unlock the new Exotic Grenade Launcher Witherhoard, while unpaid players get it at level 30 on the pass.

There's a new Daito Foundry in Season of Arrivals that brings a whole new aesthetic to this season's armor, still available through the season pass. Expect th🌺is foundry tꩵo provide a few new weapons as well, such as a very angry-looking sword.

And finally, this season brings a brand new dungeon. Prophecy will have Guardians enter the realm of꧑ the Ix--an alternate dimension where up is down, light is dark, and gravity is completely arbit♉rary. There's also a bunch of Taken to kill, which will be at a very high power level so take care if you enter before grinding out a few levels.

Beyond Light

The next major expansion to hit Destiny 2 this fall will set the stage for the showdown between Light and Dark. But besides the interesting lore, Destiny 2 itself will undergo huge changes as old content is removed to make way ♕for the new.

Let's start with what's upcoming. Beyond Light will bring a brand new destination: Europa. Once only shown as concept art back before the initial release of Destiny 1, Europa finally arrives in Destiny 2 as a frozen wasteland.

It's only appropriate that the birthplace of the Exo also brings back a classic Destiny character that we thought was gone for good. The Stranger makes her return wi🉐elding a strange new power that is most definitely not the Light.

The expansion will focus on the Fallen where Eremis, a new Fallen Boss, has figured out how to wield the Darkness as a weapon. And so too will Guardians in the form of a new damage type called Stasis. The livestream didn't provide us with much in terms of detail, but given the name, we'☂d expect this type of damage to embody the concept of entropy in the same way that the Darkness already does.

T⛎his means new subclasses to go along with Arc, Solar, and Void for each Titan, Hunter, and Warlock.

Beyond Light is going to bring a ton of new content, and that's actually a problem. Destiny 2 is a massive game that stretches the limits of what current hardware can handle. In order for Destiny 2 to not completely gobble up a PS4's hard drive with e💞ach new expansion, Bungie plans to retire older content to make way for the new stuff.

Several current destinations, including Mars, Io, Titan, and Mercury, will be placed in the Destiny Content Vault, along with their associated strikes. While this means some past content will be unavailable, Bungie has made it clear it won't be gone forever. Future seasons will cycle old content back in with refreshing new looks, and even some content from Destiny 1 will also get a touch up before heading back to Destiny 2's evolving world.

Starting with the Cosmodrome, a destination beloved by Destiny 1 fans.

And Beyond...

That covers Destiny 2 up until September, but Smith and Noseworthy weren't done there. They also gave us a brief teaser for what to expect in Destiny 2 for 2021 and 2022 with the next two expansions.

The Witch Queen will arrive in the fall of 2021 and will almost certainly center around Savathun, an oft-mentioned villain but never before seen. In 2022, Destiny 2 will have its climactic final battle between Dark and Light in Lightfall. Will there be a second collapse, as Zavala has often mentioned in the Tower? Probably. Destiny is at its best when the sky is falling--168澳洲幸运5开奖网:usually literally.

A few brief men🐟tions were made for a new transmog system that will let you turn armor into ornaments, along with a reduction in the general use of FOMO. The quest log will be revised yet again to be easier to follow, and a dark title screen will be added to keep late-night players from blinding themselves.

Also, Destiny 2 is coming to next-gen consoles. Expect 4K graphics and 60 frames per second on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 5 and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Xbox Series X whenever they arrive.

Expect more details to be divulged in th🍎e coming months about all of this and more.
