On November 13th Activision unleashed the next next entry in the long running 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops Co🃏ld War.ဣ Even though it has only been out for a week, early impressions and prཧe-release materials have already proven polarizing.
None of this is evidenced better than the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:plethora of memes surrounding the new game. The ten memes featured below deal with several aspects of the product, whether it be the story, the game's place in the canon, or other features of Black Ops Cold War. Since the game has only been out a week, we're sure 𝐆more memes are bound to pop up as the days pass.
10 ღ I Am The Sequel Now!
What is so confusing about Black Ops Cold War being a direct sequel to the first Black Ops is the existence of Black Ops 2. The first sequel took place ওboth in the 1980s and the near future, following up on some of the events from the original Black Ops. Black Ops Cold War, however, takes place in the early 80s and more directly deals with the Cold War, similar to the 2010 game.
9 A Good💖 Investment 🐈
If your partner ever grows suspicious of the missing money in the piggybank and the recent purchase of Black Ops Cold War, do not feel too bad. Explain to your significant other that no investment Jimmy could make with those $70 is nearly as important as the new Call of Duty. Where else can somebody find a gripping Cold War narrative packed in with a168澳洲幸运5开奖网: zombies mode and an extensive multiplayer suite.
8 Maybe Zombies Will Be Based On Actual Events One Day Too 🤪 🐷
Treyarch's Call of Duty games have included a zombies mode since World at War. Black Ops Cold War takes place during the 1980s and use🌸s some actual historical events during the campaign.
This should be taken with a grain of salt, however, since they take some serious liberties with facts. Despite its adherence to history, many buy the Treyarch games purely for the zombies mode. Who knows, though, zombies could becom♉e a real♛ thing someday.
7 ಌ Ronald Reagan
While many appreciate 168澳🔯洲幸运5开奖网:being able 🅰to make the player, Bell, nonbinary, it is also endlessly humorous to thi꧑nk of an openly nonbinary person participating in Black Ops operations during the Cold War. Reagan was not exactly the most liberal or progressive president, so it is difficult to imagine this. The twist at the end also makes this more interesting, because the supporting characters make up the background for Bell. All things considered, it is nice developers were considerate of different genders
6 🎐Who Needs History Books?
We cannot stress this enough; as funny as this meme is, please do not use the Call of Duty: Black Ops games as an actual source for historical fact. Right off the bat, the game implies the Iran hostage crisis was orchestrated by Perseus, which is simply not true. Your teacher will immediately give you a failing grade if you mention Woods, Mason, or Adler in a research paper. If we're talking about the whole Black Ops series, then please remember Christopher Meloni will not become a 💖super sold൲ier in the future.
5 ꦜ A Batt🍷le For The Ages
It is hard to tell what division is bigger between Ronald Reagan and Karl Marx; the eras in which they lived or their political ideologies. Despite them existing in entirely different generations, through the power of video games they can be brought together to hash out their differences in a brutal battle to the death, with Raegan being made for Call of Duty and Marx being a character in an168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Assassin's Creed game𒐪. Karl Marx believes there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, but he also believes there are no ꦑrules in the ring.
4 ꦚ ⛦Poor Black Ops 2
Activision has been known to disrespect some great franchises, either pretending like they do not exist for years or running them into the ground until they are useless. The publisher really did something special to Black Ops 2, however. All these years the game thought it was the successor to the original Black Ops until Black Ops Cold War comes around and steals its thunder. Black Ops Cold War makes for the better sequel, if only because it does not include an Avenged Sevenfold song in the credits.
3 🥃 If It Happened In Call ༒Of Duty, It Must Be True
Thanks to the Internet🤡, conspiracy theories spread like wildfire, and more people than ever believe them to be true. Many of the Black Ops games play out like a best of compilation of the world's favorite conspiracies.
While the se💫ries is all about entertainment, it is important to sort out the facts from the fiction when go🧸ing through the stories, lest people start pointing to them as proof their blogs were telling the truth the whole time.
2 ꦉ Even In Death, He Gets No Re🐎spect At All
Ronald Reagan is a controversial historical figure, and the game shies away from his shadier exploits. Do you know a famous person from the '80s who was universally beloved? Rodney Dangerfield. His career started long before the decade, but he starred in a string of hit films during the 80s and brought hours of joy to countless audiences with his self-deprecating humor. It is a shame he was not in Black Ops Col🌠d War, but there is always a chance with next year's installment, Call of Duty: Caddysha🅠ck
1 At Least They Were🃏 Nice Enough To Provide A Hard Drive
As ridiculous of a joke as this is, it would actually be extremely nice of the developers to incಞlude a hard drive with each purchase of Black Ops Cold War. After all, those things are expensive and they'll only become more costly on consoles as SSDs become the norm. Sadly, this is not the truth and players have to contend with the limited space afforded by their hard drive as games get bigger and bigger. Just imagine the plight of those who want to play both Modern Warfare and this game's multiplayer mode on a regular basis.
