The franchise has been doing well for almost two decades now. Every year Activision has a new developer, like Treyarch, give players a campaign to help tie together the series' ever-expanding lore, as with the case of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cold War's missions. Every hero needs a good villain to fight, and over the past decade, the series has had✨ a varie🥃ty of villains.
From rogue soldiers to terrorists wanting to watch the world burn, the villains of the Call of Duty series are comparable to that of action-movie villains. Some thoꦑugh are inevitably stronger than others, and everyone has their favorites. The villains on this list are from the past decade and will be ranked worst to best. Only main villains will be ranked so secondary villains, like Lev Kravchenko and Khaled Al-Asad, will not be included.
10 Corvus (Black𓂃 Ops 3) 𒐪
Black Ops 3 perhaps has the most complicated story of an🐬y game in the series, and not in a good way. Its villain situation is just as bad as it turns out that the game's true villain was an AI called Corvus.
There is nothing special about Corvus and the whole rogue AI that kills people for getting in the way is just overdone in n🌄ot only video games but other media as well. Plus it never shuts up about that stupid frozen forest it wants to make humanity's afterlife. It does get points for turning the player's squad against them so there is that at least.
9 Roman Barkov (M𝄹odern Warfare 2019)
The newest Modern Warfare was a welcome return to form in terms of the campaign. But its biggest issue though was its villain, Roman 🎀Barkov. It is yet another evil Russian dude that basically views everyone in Urzikstan, the fictional country he is occupying, as terrorists and mercilessly rules over them.
It makes the player want to take him down with the numerous 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:guns at their disposal, but he does not have an𝓡ything special about him when co꧋mpared to other villains.
8 ꧃ Gabriel Rorke (Ghosts) 🥂
Ghosts is often considered to be one of the worst games in the series with its plot hole filled campaign that could fill a thing of swiss change. But its villain was decent enough in Rorke. He was a former ghost who was brainwashed by the fede𝐆ration into betraying them and his country.
It felt like though he could have been so much more. But ultimately he just spends most of the game taunting the heroes and only occasionally acting on his threats which kind of make for some 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:unintentionally hilarious moments. Al🥂so how did h🌺e end up surviving that swim at the end of the campaign?
7 💟 🌳 Perseus (Cold War)
The newest addition to the Call of Duty rogues gallery, there is a lot of mysteries surrounding and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:hidden plotlines surrounding the one known as Perseus. His real name is unknown and it has bee🍬n hinted that Perseus may in fact be an organization, rather than a singular person.
Though this makes the character interesting, there is still a lo❀t of 🎃unknowns to this character. Should be fun to see what the next entry will do with this character.
6 🙈 Salen Kotch (Infinite Warfare)
Given all the hate Infinite Warfare has gotten from original Call of Duty players, its campaign was ღbetter than it had any right to be. Part of that is the ruthless villain Salen Kotch, played by Kit Harrington of Game of Thrones fame.
The man has no sympathy for anyone but his goal of conquering Earth. The man shows time and again that he will do anything to get the job done, no matt⛎er the cost to both civilians and his own men.
5 ❀ Jonathan Irons (A🧸dvanced Warfare)
Though the model and actor portraying the character, Kevin Spacey, ♚has since been disgraced, his performance as Jonathan Irons will be ingrained in those that played Advanced Warfare's campaign. After the death o𒐪f his son, Irons uses the Atlas Corporation to be the world's leader in achieving world peace.
He will do whatever it takes, even if it means letting thousands di💞e from a nuclear attack he knew would happen for personal gain. The reasoning behind his actions is ultimately the best part of an otherwise mediocre campaign.
4 Edward Richtofen (꧟Zombies) 🎀
Though first introduced in World at War, more of his story has been fleshed out in the more recent games. A Nazi that is responsible for the basically all the crazy zombies and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:zombie bosses running a🎐round, Richtofen is as insane as a Nazi could get.
The guy has loves violence and always shouts in joy♊ when killing a zombie. It seems like he wanted something like the zombie apocalypse to happen. Thou🔯gh he seemingly turns himself around, his crimes still plague the world.
3 Nikita Dragovich (Black Ops 1) 💟
Since Black Ops 4 lacked a campaign, an extension had to be made for Black Ops 1. Dragovich is a devious guy who is willing to betray his own men just to advance Soviet interest in Nova 6. Not to mention he tries to brainwash protagonist Alex Mason i𓆉nℱto becoming a soviet sleeper agent in order to assassinate President Kennedy.
He almost succeeds in launching a mass Nova 6 attack on the U.S but he fails and is killed by Mason. His name comes up again 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in Cold War since Perseus t𒅌ries to use the sleeper a♓gents that Dragovich tried to use in Black Ops 1. Even from the grave he is a threat.
2 Raul Menendez (Black♔ Ops🎐 2)
Perhaps the most sympathetic villain on this list, Raul Menendez is driven mad after his sister is accidently killed by Frank Woods. Though ruthless even before then, this drove Menendez over the e🥂dge as he then tricks Woods into seemingly killing his best friend Alex Mason and then shows the latter's body to his son, David.
He returns again in 2025, where he has just one goal in mind: to watch the world burn. Charismatic💫 and methodical, his actions could in fact result in him actually winning in the end by causing g𒊎lobal anarchy through a global blackout.
1 𝔍 Vladimir Makarov (Modern Warfare 2 And 3)
Beating out Menendez just barely is the one and only Makarov, who gets under the player's skin just about every time he is on screen. Theꦛ man is willing to do whatever it takes in restoring Russia to its former Soviet glory. The man ignites World War 3 by massacring hundreds of his own countrymen at an airport and frames the U.S for it.
This causes the deaths of millions from the war and ends with him being the reason fan-favorite Soap dies in front of a devastated Captain Price. Oh and he was also responsible for thꦿe nuke in the first Modern Warfare. All of this makes for perhaps one of the most satisfying villain deaths in gaming as Price hangs him from a wire at hotel in Dubai. Karma is real after all.
