What Is The Gunsmith?
The Gunsmith is where you customize your weapon attachments in Black Ops 6. Compared to past CoDs, the Gunsmith in BO6 functions closer to Cold War than MW3. Attachments in this installment have major upside, minimal to no downsides, and generally are easy to understand. There aren't a dozen different un💟derbarrels that all adjust horizontal recoil, for example.

Recoil Control And Gun Kick
Recoil Control affects your weapon's horizontal and vertical climb with sustained fire. Weapons with lower recoil stats tend to perform better at longer ranges. You can adjust🧔 your Recoil Control with muzzles and certain underbarrel attachments.
Recoil Gun Kick affects the visual recoil experienced while firing a weapon—i.e. how aggressively your sig꧙hts shake whe꧋n you fire. Certain muzzles can help mitigate this. Alternatively, you can adjust your ADS FOV in the options menu to make this effect less pronounced.
ADS Idle Sway Delay
ADS Idle Sway Delay is a new stat in Black Ops 6 that determines how long you can aim a weapon before it starts to sway. In ꦰpast CoD games this was instantaneous, but most weapons in BO6 have a short delay before idle sway kicks in. You can extend this delay with the Target Laser attachment.
Aim Idle Sway itself works the same as in MW2 and MW3. Once the delay hits zero, your gun will sway side-to-side until you stop aiming. This value is typically rather high on most guns, matching or even exceeding your ADS speed. You generally want this stat to be the same or lower than your ADS speed.
