Black Ops 7 Should Still Come To Switch 2

The original announcement that Call of Duty was coming to Nintendo hardware came in Februꦉary 2023, when Microsoft was trying to assuage fears that it would hoard o🅰ne of the world's biggest IPs following its acquisition of Activision-Blizzard.

"Microsoft and Nintendo have now negotiated and signed a binding 10-year legal agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo players — the same day as Xbox, with full features and content parity so they 🌠can experience Call of Duty just as Xbox and PlayStation gamers enjoy Call of Duty," the announcement read. "We are committed to providing long-term equal access to Call of Duty to other gaming platforms, bringꦆing more choice to more players and more competition to the gaming market."

Despꦑite the agreement having been made in February 2023, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 did not appear on Nintendo consoles. Given the Switch has significantly less power than even꧑ last-gen consoles, this wasn't too surprising.

However, the Nint😼endo Switch 2💎 is on par with the PlayStation 4 in terms of power, so you'd expect Black Ops 7 to appear on the console given it's releasing on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

According to Kotaku, Microsoft and Nintendo are still ironing out the details, but Black Ops 7 is 🅠expected to release on the Switch 2 when the game releases later this year.

It's unknown if other first-party ﷽Xbox titles will be coming to the Switch 2, given Microsoft's well-documented shift towards becoming a🦹 multiplatform publisher. At present, there have been no announcements of Xbox Game Studios' titles being ported to the Switch 2.
