Among the series of surprises during 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation's showcase event on Wednesday was an announcement that PS4 players would get alpha access to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's multiplayer. During that alpha testing, we received confirmation that Cold War will s🍌ee m🌄ap voting return to the franchise.
When the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:multiplayer was revealed, we were treated to several hours of gameplay from some of gaming's biggest streamers and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty fans. A glimpse at the (limited) multiplayer lobby revealed that players were able to vote for maps — a feature that was removed from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Modern Warfare.
Thankfully, the surprise alpha testing that map voting will indeed be part of Black Ops Cold War. While Treyarch is catching a lot of heat for including skilled based matchmaking in the game and promising to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:nerf sniper rifles. However, it did h🐷it at least good note by ensuring that players will have the option to avoid maps that they don't like.
Map voting has been a part of the Call of Duty experience for as long as most of us can remember. There have been maps that nobody wanted to play on and could easily be avoided thanks to the voting system. When 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Modern Warfare took that away, it felt like being transported to a less sophisticated age where everyone was subject to the whims of the game. Throw in the penalties for leaving a game after it starts, and y꧒ou have a good recipe for a bad experience.
Thankfully, Cold War will fix that by not only showing players which maps are in rotation, but by also allowing the lobby to decide what kind of game it wants to play. Finding a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:good lobby is something that a lot of us look for. Finding who you play with is as important (if not more important) as the game mechanics themselves. Incentivizing lobbies to stick together by allowing them to vote is a great way to allow players to make new friends. And ultimately, that's what gaming is about — 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:building communities that transcend everyday life.
With that said, we're glad that voting will be coming back to the multiplayer experience and we hope t𓂃hat it never goes away again.
