Activisi😼on has revealed more information about how much space you'll need to clear in order to install Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War – and the numbers are pretty staggering. Most troubling is the file size on Xbox Series S, which clocks in at 136GB, nearly half of the available sto𝓰rage space.

Xbox Series S files were expected toꦬ be much smaller than their Series X 🍰counterparts, due to its lower resolution of 1440p. That doesn’t seem to be the case with the latest Call of Duty title, and Series S owners' poor solid state drives are going to pay the price. Recent reports indicate that the affordable new Xbox only 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:has about 364GB of storage – the rest of⛄ it being used to house the operating system and other internal soft💦ware. After slapping Black Ops Cold War onto the drive, you'll be left with just 228GB.

Here's the f:

  • PS4: 95GB
  • PS5: 133GB
  • Xbox One: 93GB
  • Xbox Series X/S: 136GB

While the file size on Series S might be the most noteworthy part of this announcement, it's also worth pointing out the discrepancy between Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Both current-gen and next-gen versions of Black Ops Cold War will be smaller on PlayStation consoles – it's not much, but every GB counts nowadays. However, you'll at least ꩲbe able to uninst🎃all portions of the game you don't play, helping you save a bit of space.

The PC version is a𒁃 bit dif💮ferent– here's what you can expect.

  • Multiplayer: 35GB
  • Full Game: 82GB
  • Full Game (Ultra Graphics): 125GB

We knew that next-gen games were going to be massive, but the storage space on both PS5 and Series X are large enough to account for this. Series S, on the other hand, seems to be getting the short end of the stic♊k. If developers aren't able to reduce file sizes for the weaker console, players are likely going to run out of space before the end of the year.
