Recent leaks from the channel suggest a 🌳weapon 🅺inspect feature could be coming to Call of Duty soon. This feature allows players to select a weapon while in-game, and then have a better look at it from both sides, which allows a good look at the weapon, lets users admire the currently equipped skins, stickers, charms, and attachments, and, enables great screensh✅ots for YouTube thumbnails.

The ability to inspect weapons 💝is nothing new to first-person shooter games, available 𝕴in other Call of Duty franchise games,💯 as well as other popular multiplayer shooters l🤪ike CS:GO and Battlefield V. It would seem historically, the feature emerged in first-person shooters as a way to ensure they were using the correct weapon when graphics were not what they are today and barrels 🏅could look close to the same, and especially when weapons could be randomized or picked up from fallen foes. With newer games that allow randomization or picking up weapons, typically there is a text box somewhere to accompany the weapon which clarifies its na🧸me.

This week, the weapon inspect feature was leaked both on Reddit as well as Twitter, showing both still shots as well as video of the feature, clearly in the development phase. In the video below, we can see the RAM-7, Grau, and MP5 all getting a solid look to first the left, then right, and then back to a steady hold. Presumably, this feature would work with attachments, skins, stickers, and charms set by th🌄e user.

Is the feature worth it? A deeper dive leaves it a bit up to gamers, however, the benefits are largely cosmetic. What about if you’ve finally unlocked the elusive Damascus skin, and want to see what it actually looks like after leveling some dreadful weapons to earn it? Totally fair, and worth it to reward those dedicated players. More importantly, what if your career or hobby involves making videos and posts about the latest best loadout, weapons, or skins? Then this feature becomes critical, and something that is long overdue. There is nothing like posting the same black back🎀ground image screen to highlight yet again the best Grau loadout for Warzone, but enabling a weapon inspect lets content creators depict the weapon in their moments of glory, right after a fresh kill.

Clearly, this is less a gameplay functionality addition, and instead, one to eꦉnsure high quality of life for the players who are embracing this game and its community. Well played 🌸Infinity Ward, well played.
