The MW2 pistols are accurate, light, and punch way above their weight. Their damage profiles are surprisingly powerful, as most handguns only need one to two bullets to secure an elimination at a decent range. While you can't go wrong with the handguns in Modern Warfare 2, some are naturally better in most situations than the rest.

5 X13 Auto
The X13 Auto (Glock 18) is as dumb fun as it is unreliable. Its 923 rpm fire rate is faster than most SMGs, so you'll be dumping the 17-round magazine faster than Infinity Ward dumping multiplayer for Warzone 2. Just don't expect to go toe-to-toe with regular close-quarters brawlers like shotguns and quick-scoping Marksman Rifles.
The X13 Auto's weak damage profile balances out its qu🐭ick fire rate. Under 11 meters, the rapid-firing pistol deals 21 damage to the chest and 28 on a headshot. Assuming you hit all bullets to the chest, that's an average time to kill 330 ms. Whether the X13 Auto shreds or fires rubber bullets is a skill issue—part of that skill involves how well you can run at someone point-blank without them noticing you.
However, the X13 Auto has redeeming factors once you can go Akimbo. Alone, the X13 Auto collects hitmarkers before the enemy turns around and deletes you. However, with two pistols, their health melts so fast that it doesn't matter that you're reloading after each engagement.
4 .50 GS
The Desert Eagle is ubiquitous in FPS games, and the .50 GS is Modern Warfare 2's iteration of the weapon. The .50 GS brings its impressive hand cannon reputation to the game, requiring two taps anywhere on the body or one clean critical hit under 16 meters. It's safe to say that you could take the .50 GS for a spin if you want to ruin someone's day.
The issue is that raw 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:power is all ꧅t💞he Desert Eagle has going for it. It has the second-slowest fire rate of all handguns and a horrendous kick to its recoil. You'll know how frustrating using this weapon is when you desperately try to line up a follow-up shot, especially at range. With many compounding flaws and issues, the .50 GS is an unreliable weapon that limits its stopping power. The .50 GS is quite fun akimbo since it causes it to deal ridiculous damage up close. But you'll need attachments like a laser to keep it from going haywire.
3 X12
The X12 (Glock 17) is an underrated MW2 pistol that's deadly in the right hands. It's pinpoint accurate with little to no recoil. Pair that with the pistol's competitive damage profile, and you'll 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:snipe enemies at mid-range. After all, the X12 can stop enemies with three shots to the chest up to 27 mওeters.
Mobility and handling are the greatest strengths of the X12. The ability to run unencumbered, ADS, then land shots before your enemy is favorable in Modern Warfare 2's fast time-to-kill meta. It also has a high fire rate of 364 rpm, which rewards you for a quick trigger finger.
The pistol handles surprisingly well when running Akimbo. Overall, the X12 is a consistently good ha🥃ndg𒅌un that works well in longer distances.
2 P890 (P220) 𒉰
Regardless of being available from the start, the P890 (P220) is an accurate two-shot wonder. The P890 only needs two bullets to the upper region of the body to take down enemies under 19 meters. Add the above-average fire rate of 286 rpm, and that's a fantastic 210 ms time to kill.
While the X12 is easier to use and best for newer players working on their aim, the P890 rewards aggressive players who can track and flick without issue. Keep in mind that the P890 isn't great out of the box, as it 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:needs a few attachments to reach its full potential. A suppressor or an attachment that increases the pistol's fire rate is all the weapon needs to become strong.
The P890 also has subsonic ammo that hides death skulls from the enemy team, helping your sneak through the backline. Going akimbo is even more fun because it turns you into John Wick, but instead of seeking vengeance for your dog, you're mowing down the lobby, searching for the person who stole the code off your bottle of soda.

The Basilisk is a one-shot elimination to the upper chest and head under 9 meters. It's a pocket Marksman Rifle that outperforms other one-tap weapons in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:maps with extremely close ranges.
The Basilisk retains its critical one-shot hit until 35 meters; beyond that, you only need 2-3 well-placed shots to secure a kill. Don't expect to become Clint Eastwood immediately, however, as the revolver has a learning curve. There's a noticeably long delay before the follow-up shot—assuming you hit both shots, that's a 420 ms time to kill.
The Basilisk is also one of the few guns in the game that fires after a small delay, which means you have to lead your shots. It's all worth it because it's a rewarding gun on its own and is also the best Akimbo MW2 pistol.
