168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 features ten choices for Tactical equipment, most of which have returned from MW2019. From Heartbeat Sensors to Flashbang Grenades, there's something for every playstyle. But as with most equipment in Modern Warfare 2, some options are far better than others.
Picking the right equipment can mean the difference between winning and losing in some matches, so you'll want to bring the absolute best. Today, we'll be ranking all ten of MW2's Tactical equipment from worst to best, measuring their performance across all of MW2's multiplayer game types—ranging from 6v6 modes to large-scale game types.
Ra๊nkings are based on MW2 mul🌸tiplayer game modes. Warzone and DMZ are not accounted for.
10 Spotter Scope ♔
Spotter Scope: Spot and mark enemies from a distance.
The Spotter Scope returns in Modern Warfare 2, behaving the same way as in MW2019. Looking through the binoculars allows you to mark targets from a distance, tracking their location for a short period. While useful, you can't use your weapons or any equipment while looking through the Spotter Scope.
This item is clearly intended for Warzone, and it works quite well in that environment. But we're ranking the equipment based on its effectiveness in multiplayer, and in that regard, the Spotter Scope is a niche Tactical item. Heartbeat Sensors and Snapshot Grenades will give you far better intel for 6v6 modes and even Ground War. Skip the Spotter Scope unless you're playing Warzone or DMZ.
9 Decoy Grenade ꦚ
Decoy Grenade: Counter intel grenade that simulates gunfire, movement and radar signatures to confuse the enemy.
If you're using Decoy Grenades, you're farming XP. Anyone near your active Decoy Grenades will grant a small chunk of XP, something that's incredibly useful for leveling weapons.💜 But when 🍨taking the Decoy Grenade at face value, it does a mediocre job of distracting the enemy team.
Decoy Grenades leave a red dot on the minimap and emit erratic gunfire audio. The red dot is highly suspicious if a UAV isn't active since red dots don't appear from unsuppressed fire in this installment, and the icon itself is a red dot—enemy players typically show up as red diamonds. A good player can instantly tell a Decoy Grenade is fake, making them ineffective in high-skill lobbies. But if you're just looking to farm XP, you can't top the Decoy Grenade.
8 Tear Gas
Tear Gas: Explodes on impact with the ground, releasing a lingering cloud of tear gas that causes slowed movement, blurred vision, and coughing.
Tear Gas is fantastic for defensive play. Throwing this grenade will create a lingering cloud of gas, forcing enemies out of ADS and preventing them from using equipment. They'll also cough loudly for a few seconds.
While the gas isn't enough to kill anyone, Tear Gas is perfect for shutting down aggressive players in objective modes. Throw the grenade in a tight corridor, wait for the enemies to jump in, then take them out. Shock Grenades are arguably stronger since they deal with vehicles as well, but the disorienting nature of Tear Gas can be a major boon in the hands of a good player. If you're just looking for easy kills, look elsewhere.
7 ℱ Shock Stick
Shock Stick: Electrical device that sticks to surfaces. Electrocutes enemies, destroys equipment, and causes vehicles to go haywire.
If you hate equipment with a passion, consider using Shock Sticks. This Tactical item creates an electric area of effect wherever it sticks, destroying any equipment in the area. Enemies within the electric AoE are also stunned, firing their weapon sporadically until they leave the area. It also disables vehicle controls if you're playing Ground War or Warzone.
For destroying mines 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:and other equipment items, Shock Sticks are fantastic. As for anchoring, they can be useful for locking down chokepoints, making your opponent unable to aim for an easy 1v1 duel. With that said, it's possible to hip-fire the Shock Stick with some practice.
6 𒐪 Heartbeat Sensor ꦏ
Heartbeat Sensor: A limited-use tablet that displays rough information about nearby enemies.
Heartbeat Sensors got a sizable nerf in MW2. They have a limited duration now, but they still scan targets in a frontal cone up to []50m away, providing you a rough idea of where nearby targets are. For Tier 1 modes and more hardcore experiences, a Heartbeat Sensor is a fantastic pick.
So why isn't the Heartbeat Sensor higher on the list? Simply put, UAVs are absurdly strong in multiplayer right now due to MW2's perk system. Ghost doesn't activate until halfway through a game, causing most players to equip the UAV as their first killstreak—leading to constant UAV spam in most lobbies. While powerful on its own, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the current state of Ghost and UAVs makes the Heartbeat Sensor tough to recommend for most 6v6 modes.
5 Snapshot Grenade 𝓀
Snapshot Grenade: Provides a momentary glimpse of enemies within the blast radius for your team or squad.
Snapshot Grenades detonate after a short delay, marking all nearby targets in infrared for a second. For quick room clearing, a Snapshot Grenade is a great option across all game types. Throw a quick Snapshot Grenade, aim where the enemies are, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:push with a lightweight weapon.
As powerful as that sounds, Snapshots have two downsides: the grenade has a clear telegraph and can be countered through Battle Hardened. Most players aren't using Battle Hardened since it does so little to Stun and Flash Grenades, but the clear Snapshot telegraph gives your enemy enough time to run away or pre-aim an entryway. Smart use of the Snapshot Grenade will get you far, but this item won't single-handedly win gunfights for you.
4 🀅 Stun Grenade
Stun Grenade: Slows victim's movement and aiming.
Few things can match the disruptive power of a Stun Grenade. Anyone in the blast radius will become disoriented, reducing movement speed, aim sensitivity, and controller aim assist. A good Stun Grenade can guarantee a 1v1 win for you. It lacks the utility of Tactical equipment further up the list, but it's undeniable just how powerful a good Stun Grenade can be in 6v6 modes.
3 ℱ Smoke Grenade ꦅ
Smoke Grenade: Deploys a smoke screen that blocks vision and automated targeting systems.
The Smoke Grenade is a criminally underrated Tactical grenade. Smoke created through this grenade is incredibly dense and can only be seen through thermal imaging. More importantly, Smoke Grenades disable killstreak targeting and controller rotational aim assist.
If you're within a Smoke Grenade, controller users (and most killstreaks) are at an immense disadvantage against you. It also makes 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:pushing corridors in small maps incredibly tough for your enemies. For defensive play, it's tough to top Smoke Grenades.
2 ꧋ Fla🌸sh Grenade
Flash Grenade: Blinds and deafens targets.
You've likely been hit by multiple Flash Grenades while playing MW2. Flashes are extremely effective at blocking enemy vision, making them excellent for aggressive players that like to push objectives. Throw a Flash Grenade and push; it's that easy.
Unlike Smoke Grenades, a good Flash won't inhibit your team's ability to see, making this the ultimate Tactical grenade for most 6v6 modes. Battle Hardened hardly counters the effect either, so virtually nothing can counter Flashe🐎s inꩲ the current sandbox.
1 Stim
Stim: Military stimulant that promotes clotting to close wounds quickly and refreshes Tactical Sprint.
Stims immediately begin health regeneration and refresh your Tactical Sprint duration. While simple, Stims are the ultimate Tactical item for aggressive players in all game types, 6v6 and Ground War. There's never a situation where getting your health back faster isn't advantageous. Use your Stims to recover after a 1v1, extend your health regeneration while running away, or simply refresh your Tactical Sprint. No matter your playstyle, a Stim is always a good pick.
