168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been with players for a few days now - and they hate it. That's at least according to the game's performance on review sites, with players spamming zero-star reviews on Metacritic.
From its short campaign to its overall lack of polish, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty fans say they are massively disappointed with Modern Warfare 3. Some even say that it's little more than DLC for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Modern Warfare 2 - only packaged as a fully-priced game. The multiplayer is being much more positively received, but for many, it's not enough to make up for the lacklustre story.
At the time of writing, the PS5 release is rated 1.4 out of 10 by fans. While the story is the main concern, some saying they beat it in as little as three hours, others also say they're experiencing bugs and performance drops. Out of 432 user ratings on Metacritic, 88 percent of them are negative.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 isn't going down well with critics either. It currently sits at a 50 out of 100 on Metacritic.
"MW3 is quite literally the embodiment of a cow that's been milked until it died," reads one user review. "The campaign - which is my primary reason for picking up a CoD game - was incredibly short, full of plot holes, and about as exciting as a wet blanket."
"I really should fight for my money back," agrees another. 🌃"What a disappointment, full price for a lousy DLC. The missions are weak and not on par with [what] we are used to with CoD campaigns."
Many reviews mention the short time between releases, with Modern Warfare 2 only launching ෴last year. Admittedly, this was developed by Infinity Ward, with Modern Warfare 3 swapping over to Sledgehammer Games. But with that being said, Sledgehammer only shipped its last game, Call of Duty: Vanguard, in 2021, hardly giving it much time, if any, to rest in between projects.
However, the developer has 168澳洲幸运5开奖网🌊:denied reports tওhat Modern Warfare 3 was rushed and made under crunch conditions.
Call of Duty is swapped between multiple developers. Modern Warfare 3's team, Sledgehammer Games, also developed Vanguard, WWII, Advanced Warfare, and the original Modern Warfare 3.
"We’re incredibly proud of Modern Warfare 3 – both the full game experience at launch and the upcoming year of content we have planned for the community," says studio head Aaron Halon. "We have worked hard to deliver on this vision which has been years in the making. Anything said to the contrary is simply not true – this is our game and we 𒀰cannot wait to play it online with all of you."
That "anything said to the contrary" part refers to reports that Sledgehammer didn't even want to make Modern Warfare 3, and was instead working on Advanced Warfare 2. Even if this is true, it hasn't helped the game's performance, as this is likely to go down as a miss for the series as a whole.
