has seemingly confirmed the recent rumour that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will launch with remastered versions of all of the multiplayer maps from 2009's Modern Warfare 2.
Over the past few days, one of the biggest rumours surrounding Modern Warfare 3 (no, not the one from 2011 with the exact same name, why on earth would you think that?) is that it's going to launch with all of the multiplayer maps featured in 2009's Modern Warfare 2. and has since been heavily hinted at being true via a marketing move from Activ♛ision.
, a mysterious phone number that appeared in a trailer for Modern Warfare 3 is one that you can actually text in real life and get specific responses to, such as sending the word "Zombies" to essentially get that game mode all but ♏confirmed. It's since been discovered that, if you text it the names of maps from Modern Warfare 2, it'll respond with those same names back and a pin next to the name, all but confirming the rumour to be true.
It's clear from charlieINTEL's tweets about both this and the Zombies tease that the number has been programmed to respond to specific commands, which means that Activision has intentionally given it the ability to parrot back the names of maps from the original Modern Warfare 2. With that in mind, it stands to reason that Modern Warfare 3 will really feature all of the maps from the 2009 fan-favourite.
Interestingly, the original rumour suggested that the launch maps for Modern Warfare 3 would only include remastered maps from 2009's MW2. If that ends up being true as well then it looks like the newest Call of Duty game won't be launching with any new maps whatsoever, which would be a bit of a strange move when the option was there to simply remaster or remake the original's multiplayer.
While it's going to prove to be a divisive decision depending on how you view the classic Modern Warfare trilogy, considering the massive popularity of the multiplayer back when it launched, especially when it comes to maps like Highrise, Rust, and Terminal, it seems like most hardcore fans of the series are going to be pleased. Combine that with heavily-requested features such as map voting and red markers on the map being rumoured for the game too, and it looks like Modern Warfare 3 is aiming to please fans, even if it's seemingly not doing much new so far.
