When 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty: Warzone released in March, it felt ♓a tad odd to see a new mode with such great potential added so late into the life of the current generations of consoles, but now we know that there is a long-term plan in place that will see it carry over to sequels in the franchise for years to come.

In a recent with Gamergen, Taylor Kurosaki, the studio narrative director at Infinity Ward detailed how Warzone will be around long after 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Modern Warfare is replaced with the next game in the Call of Duty series. Kurosaki was asked how the future of Warzone looked relative to the competition with futur꧟e installments, which he answered by diving into a few key points about what the release of the new mode has meant for the developer.

“We’re in kind of uncharted territories here. Call of Duty has been on a very regular cadence for many many years, and Warzone has made us rethink exactly how best to release new content and how to integrate it,” Kurosaki begins. “Warzone will be the through line that connects all of the different various sub-franchises of Call of DutyWarzone will be the one constant.”

Rather than see Warzone and its success come to an end with the launch of the next game in the series, it seems like the newest mode will carry over for years to come, at least as long as it remains popular. What remains to be seen however is what influence each sequel will have on the evolving landscape of Warzone and its maps.

Right now, Kurosaki describes how his responsibility is quite simple, My job really is to make sure that the feeling in Warzone is exactly the same as Modern Warfare. So, you have narrative threads, you have fiction, you have faction and characters that span both modes.” By extension, this should also mean that all future iterations of Warzone will match up thematically to whatever sequel comes next, giving the mode a fresh coat of paint once a year, similar to how 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fortnite can drasti⭕cally change things between every few seasons of play𝐆.

We are not sure what lies ahead in Call of Duty, but it is clear that the long-term plan is to keep providing players with plenty to do across the main campaign modes and the battle royale genre, and it is exciting to think about what Warzone could look like in a year, or two, or three!
