In early April, Infinity Ward was proudly stating through social media that it has “zero tolerance” for cheaters in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty: Warzone and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Modern Warfare, touting the banning of over 50,000 accounts worldwide. Since th꧟en, they have been virtually silent on the subject outside of a few select comments, and more and more it feels as though the cheaters are running wild and unchecked in both modes of the game.

Even the most cursory glance at any online forum discussing the state of Warzone echoes similar sentiments, and anecdotal tales of players solo wiping out entire teams with little effort, wall hacking, and sniping from the most ridiculous of distances abound. The question now is whether Infinity Ward can deal with this onslaught of cheaters in their game, or if they are literally doing their best but have fallen behind the curve of software used ꧃to cheat.

Cheating appears to also be a major problem outside of Warzone. While that mode is free to play, and thus encourages players to make an account and cheat with no real penalty if banned, Modern Warfare is also seeing its fair share of cheaters.

Only a few days ago, Twitch streamer Twisted Bear was caught using wall hacks while on stream. He did not even seem aware that the cheat was visible to his viewers until after the fact, but this on🐻ly serves to illustrate how brazen cheaters are, and how well made many of the cheats must be to avoid detection.

In this case the problem is more worrisome. While Warzone is free, Modern Warfare is not, and this means that chea♕ting programs must be sophisticated enough for someone like a full-time streamer to place their faith in the program for use live, while broadcasting. In the case above, the mistake was of course not hiding the cheat, which makes us wonder how many other “skilled” streamers are little more than cheaters putting on an act? Right now, it is impossible to know, and it seems Infinity Ward does not know either.

This is a shame, not only because cheating makes competitive gameplay a fruitless exercise for anyone caught up as a victim of a program, but also because Call of Duty with its two modes would otherwise be the 🍎perfect ecosystem for players to spend their time thanks to the great cross-progression and reward system given for those who want to play both modes.

Given how rampant cheating appears to be in both modes, it is hard to say how well the game will continue to do in the future. It is Call of Duty, after all, so sales each year are virtually guaranteed, but a developer can onﷺly ignore such flagrant cheating go on fo꧃r so long before players look elsewhere for a game that does not have such problems, or at least not in such ridiculous scale.
