Canada has hit the big time in Rainbow Six Siege after ඣbeing hande✤d its own Division in the North American League.
Last February, Ubisoft revealed how the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League would be changing in 2020 with the announcement of new regional leagues. North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe would each get theꦦir own leagues, and within those leagues there would be region-specific divisions.
And for the first time in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Rainbow Six Siege history, Canada made the cut.
That's right: Canada will have🥀 its own division in the Rainbow Six North American League. Eat that, Mexico!
North America will be an outlier in the larger Rainbow Six leagues as there will only be two divisions: the USA and Canada. The US Division will have 8 pro teams competing offline in 168澳洲幸运5开奖ꩵ网:Las Vegas, Nevada, the home of all things gaming. Canada, on the other hand, will only have 4 pro teams and they'll be pla🐟ying online since there's really no Canadian equivalent to Las Vegas.
Both divisions will schedule their seasons at the same time so that they can compete in larg𝓀er tournaments later in the year. The first season of the new Rainbow Six North American League will begin in late June.
Ad🌼ditionally, Ubisoft has announced that they want a vibrant semi-pro league to provide a path to the big time for aspirational players. Called the Challenger League, it's an online league that will ಞhave 8 teams from each region playing for a chance to make it to the pro tier at the end of each season.
“Setting do🔯wn roots for Rainbow Six Esports in Las Vegas puts our pastime within one of the greatest epicenters of entertainment in the world, which as of today now has an esports league to call it home,” said Che Chou, Senior Director of esports at Ubisoft. “Alongside the US Division, we believe the Canada Division and respective Challenger Leagues completes the competitive scene in North America, providing vast opportunities for players of diverse skill levels to pursue the esports dream.”
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the first stage of the US Division's games ꩲwill be played online just like the Canada Division. They'll go back to being offline once the situation allows for people to be in the same room as one another once 🎃again.
