Over the past few years, Capcom has established itself as the most consistent publisher in the game. The development of the RE🌄 Engine in 2014 kicked off a renaissance for the Resident Evil series, starting with Resident Evil 7 in 2017 and continuing almost yearly until last month’s Resident Evil 4 Remake. Meanwhile, Monster Hunter World catapulted the long-running series to unprecedented global success that has continued with Monster Hunter Rise. Capcom even had modest success with Devil May Cry 5, the best-selling game in the series, as well as Mega Man 11, and the digital CCG Teppen, which launched its 20th expansion 🔜last month.

2023 has already been a standout year for Capcom. Resident Evil 4 remake sold over four million copies in the first two weeks while receiving universal acclaim from critics and fans. Mega Man Battle Network: Legacy Collection also launched last month and topped the Switch sales charts in Japan. Still to come this year are Exporimal, a dinosaur action game that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:we feel hopeful about, and Street Fighter 6, ꧟which will be one of the biggest games of the year and likely a Game of the Year contender.

It’s a great year for Capcom’s biggest franchises, but based on what we know now, it seems like 2024 could be even bigger. Capcom doesn’t like to reveal too much too early, and it's rare that we find out about a new game more than a year before it launches, but we already have a lot to go on.

Only two Capcom games have been announced to release after Exoprimal launches in July. The🌃 first is Pragmata, a mysterious sci-fi game about an astronaut and a little girl that was revealed at The Game Awards in 2020. We’ve seen two cinematic trailers for Pragmata but we still don’t know much about the game. It was originally announced to launch in 2023, but given there’s been so little info, this one might slide into 2024.

The other is Dragon’s Dogma 2, sequel to the cult-classic RPG that was announced last June. While we haven’t seen anything from the game yet, director Hideaki༺ Itsuno said de♒velopment was progressing well ba🐼ck in January. This one may end up not coming out un𒆙til 2025, but 2024 seems possible.

One game we can count on in 2024 is the next mainline Monster Hunter. 2024 is the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter, and last January, producer hinted that Capcom had big plans. Monster Hunter World, which launched in 2018, was the last mainline game in the series, and post-l𝄹aunch support for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak ends this June. It’s likely that Capcom will announce Monster Hunter 6 at either Summer Games Fest or Tokyo Game Show, with a𓃲 release date sometime next year.

There’s a f🐎ew more games we’re always on the lookout for. Devil May Cry 5 launched in 2019, and while we’ve certainly waited longer for Devil May Cry sequels in the past, it’s possible the success of 5 means we’ll see the next installment sooner rather than later. There’s also rumors of a remake of the original Devil May Cry, which, given how well the Resident Evil remakes have done, also seems likely.

Capcom Vancouver was shuttered during the development of Dead Rising 5, but 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fans have been calling for a remake of the original Dead Rising for years. A n🔜ew Dead Rising feels inevitable, and yet another potential release for 2024.

Though we don’t know much about Capcom’s future plans, there’s a lot to be excited for. Anything coming next year will likely be announced during Summer Games Fest in June or Tokyo Game Show in September, and we’ll likely get more info on Pragmata and Dragon’s Dogma 2 at the same time, or during The Game Awards in December. We’re also getting 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Hunter Now, a lo♐cation-based mobile game from Niantic, this September. Who knows? There’s always a chance of a new Mega Man, or even a Dino Crisis remake. It’s a new golden era for Capcom, anythi♛ng is possible - even Bionic Commando and Viewtiful Joe.
